01.07.15 Valuation/Survey
03.07.15 12.02pm Text to say valuation received from surveyor
03.07.15 12.03pm Text to say formal mortgage offer issued
08.07.15 Mortgage offer received in post.
Thanks for that, been waiting for a text to say valuation was done, but was only yesterday.
Hopefully I'll get a text from Nationwide tomorrow....0 -
We sent our full Natwest application to the broker today. After 148k and they have provisionally said they will go to 170k so the broker does not foresee any problems. Doesn't stop you worrying though does it. The ltv is actually under 50% as well. We go on holiday in two weeks as well which is adding to the stress so we have given every bit of paperwork we can think of and more besides in case they ask for anything else.0

Our mortgage offer arrived in the post today!
Full application was submitted on the 14th of July and during that time they kept coming back and asking for various bits of info. Letters completely contradicted what we had been told on the phone most of the time.
i.e. me - "That's not a loan. It's a lease and I only took it out in March. Do you need me to send you proof of that?"
them - "No we don't need proof. That's fine."
Letter next day - "Please supply proof of the car lease"...
We went through the above scenario about 3 or 4 times on various things.
So it was a bit frustrating but not too bad a turnaround time at all considering I'm self employed and my wife is currently on maternity leave.
Best of luck to everyone else still waiting. This thread has helped me not gnaw my fingernails to the quick!0 -

We have applied for a mortgage with Nationwide.
25/7 DIP over phone
27/7 Full application over phone
04/8 Valuation/survey
We called Nationwide yesterday to find out if the valuation was satisfactory to find Countrywide had not submitted it yet. Apparently they are behind with their paperwork!0 -
Hi All,
I applied via a broker on Monday to Halifax:-
DIP - 03/08/2015
Application sent:- 04/08/2015
Still haven't taken any fees from my account. I've also checked experian and can only see the search they did on Monday for the DIP.
I hope I'm not waiting to long as I'm buying a new build and they give you 28 days to exchange but I don't want to pay search fees until I know I have the mortgage.
What are other peoples experience of Halifax.:)0 -
Application should be going in today, so adding my timeline.

hello, also waiting for a decision from Nationwide
29/7 application received
3/8 the valuation was carried out
5/8 we got a text to say they'd received the valuation report and would be back in touch if any more info required.
*nervously bites nails* - still waiting....x0 -
Hey. I have actually read the whole 187 pages on this thread and have found it most informative so thought I'd join in. Here is my/our(hubby) timescale.
Fell in love with a house while casually browsing zoopla
So wed 29th house viewing
29/07;; contacted broker reccomended by mother in law he was lovely got us a DIP instantly from nationwide.
30/07 offer in and accepted.
With the weekends actual application didn't go in through broker untill
5/08:: all looks ok send broker documents needed etc problem as I couldn't get p60 but hubby's should be ok.
Broker rings Friday 7/08 to request couple more documents and tells us we should have an offer subject to valuation he is shocked at how quickly nationwide acted.
Did have a valuation text on application day but had no dat just your valuation has been rescheduled to.
I never realised how stressful this is. Unreal. Hope someone else can relate. Ps were had 3 soft credit checks and 4 hard(showing up through experian)
Good luck everyone. Laura x0
