10/08/14 DIP with Leeds building society via IFA for 50% shared ownership house
08/09/14 full application with Leeds
16/09/14 Leeds request proof of address for a house I lived at 4 years ago
9/10/14 offered mortgage for half of what I asked for as Leeds stated they do not take into consideration tax credits towards my daughters nursery fees! Making my expenditure look much higher!
10/10/14 DIP with nationwide
23/10/14 paper application submitted through IFA
14/11/14 Our documents have been checked and approved after going for audit
17/11/14 survey and HBR done
17/11/14 nationwide asking for our gifted deposit letter (already sent) and also asking us why we are choosing our solicitor who is based in the Midlands when we live in Somerset (we grew up in the Midlands and have used this solicitor before)
Are they stalling for time? I can't help but think they'd have noticed an absent gifted deposit letter when they first assessed our documents and then reviewed it at audit!0 -

18/11/13 Employment questioned and more enquiries raised with the broker. (I am an IT Umbrella Contractor). I don't even know what possible can they require as I have given all the documents under the sun and according to their own criteria, the employment should be ok.
Waiting to have a chat with my broker, to be honest I don't know what to do next, can't find words for how frustrating this feels. :mad:0 -

haven't you?
Yep, we submitted that form with all our documents at application and our mortgage broker says she has a receipt to confirm they'd received it.0 -
Just got the text from Nationwide who have formally received the mortgage application from my broker! IT BEGINS!
I guess I just sit back and relax - Any problems and I imagine they will go to my broker and not me directly?
He said he was certain it will be a smooth easy process and will be approved subject to survey pretty quickly - But he may have been saying that to keep me calm ha![FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

With Nationwide you get text(SMS) notifications at key milestones(application, valuation, approval, etc) but any requests for extra documents or information goes to the broker. Good luck.0

I would imagine the valuation is going to be the longest part of it - would I get a text saying "Approval subject to valuation" quickly or is the valuation done first?
If so, I'm guessing a rejection means goodbye to the valuation fee ha![FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

How long did it take for your approval?
Sent our application off on the 28th of October but sounds a bit more complicated than yours :T
We signed up for the nationwide text updates but didn't receive a single one :rotfl:
Luckily our broker was great with keeping us up to speed.
Try not to worry to much about order and speed. It'll happen when it happensbut I understand the want and need for things to be done as quick as possible
