There has just been an issue of the p60's that were sent across not being certified but that was sorted today so it's now been passed for consideration and we should have an answer within 3 working days. The underwriter said she will try to get it sorted Monday but she can't promise anything therefore it will definitely be done by Tuesday COB. I asked if all was ok other than the p60's and if they were acceptable would be on our way to an offer and they sounded very positive.
Going away for the weekend so going to get very drunk and forget about it all!
good idea: the get drunk bit and forget it all, wish I could do it but
1) I do not drink (could take it up though??)
2) I am actually working all weekend! so no am not allowed to get drunk....
when I met my mortgage advisor he got me to bring him a 'shedful' of documents and namely:
any credit card statement (even if zero balance)
copy of my credit file
3 months worth of bank statements from both my accounts
P60s for both of my jobs
3 months of payslips from both jobs
proof that a hefty 25000 loan was paid off a few days earlier (had a letter from loan company to say I paid it off)
passport
utility bills
so I think he prepared himself for most things he may be asked by the mortgage lender and so I am here sitting and waiting for an answer!!!0 -
That's normally my life nobody's driving (well the working weekends bit, definitely not the no drinking!) but I actually have a weekend off! Yipee!
I'm glad we're away though, if I wasn't I'd rather be at work as I have too much time to think (and google) if I'm not at work!
Our broker did similar- think it's a sign you have a good one if they are prepared!VSPC #183 £6.32

I think he's good but he's C**P at keeping in touch with me, I can't stand it, he makes me wait for hours on end :mad::mad:
he really does make me livid!
I have openly told him (on email/text) how I cannot stand how long he makes me wait and could he please hand my case over to someone else in his company if he's too busy to 'bother' to reply to me. He totally ignores such messages from me :mad:0 -

Good for you! They need telling.
I work Saturday mornings but after that I am planning to put my feet up. Although I quite fancy the idea of getting drunk because this week has been stress overload.0 -
Hi, been reading this and thought I would tell you my timeline.
AIP end aug
Offer on property accepted 12 sept
Solicitor appt 12 sept
Draft contract recd 18 Sept
Valuation 22 Sept
Mortgage offer 2 Oct
Exchange is tomorrow
It's a repossession and the seller (bank) wants a 28 day turnaround
Good job I've got a cracking broker and solicitor
Mortgage is with Virgin 90% LTV and £300 cash back
As soon as virgin got a call from broker to say it's urgent they turned it around in a day. No supporting docs required apart from usual payslips etc.
Fingers crossed will be done in next 7-10days
Feeling hopeful0 -
got an email today from broker to say underwriters have approved subjext to the valuation which is tomorrow.... new worry now, that they will undervalue!!! Even though we have independant valuation from local surveyor to agree price for staircasing from HA, so much stress and we're not even moving. Just hope the values come in to match what the other valuer said...0

Phew, mortgage approved today!
Natwest have turned things round very quickly for us - we had a telephone interview on Monday and passed the soft credit check and the affordability check. Tuesday we had a further telephone interview and they did the full credit check and went through the full application. Wednesday the initial pack arrived - we sent back payslips, bank statements and paperwork same day. Underwritters considered Thursday - telephone call today to say approved and survey instructed!
We did apply for a mortgage with natwest earlier in the year but the house we were buying fell through and because of the time lapse (and new MMR rules) we had to re-apply. Thankfully we didnt have to pay another mortgage arrangement fee!0 -
good news Bliss77
for me:
initial underwriter check from Kent Reliance on Monday 29th september (just gone), got my key illustration wednesday at 10pm (my advisor seems to always work late in the night!), then DIP today, however I was too busy at work to get on the phone to book valuation so because of this I will have to now pay the valuation on monday, I hope they can do it 'asap' as my flat is waiting for me (it's a new built).0 -
Good luck all.
I exchanged today, completion is Monday 13th oct. That's a 31 day turnaround from offer acceptance to complete. Feels a bit real now.
Off to make some lists.0
