Anyone want to join me? Awaiting Mortgage decision...

So, my OH has gone and bought something on his catalogue account whilst our mortgage application is in the processing stage. The account was clear when we applied. The items were sent straight back but just received the statement which shoes the items, so the credit to clear it won't be shown until October statement. Not sure how often the catalogue update the credit files but I'm wondering if this is likely to effect out application!!!0

Have you received your mortgage offer already? How much was the spend? x:beer:0

I'm joining you all!
6th Sep - First viewing (£120,000 guide price)
6th Sep - Decision in principle (based on £115,000)
8th Sep - Conveyancing quote from local (friendly and personally recommended solicitor)
9th Sep - Second viewing (with the in-laws and without my rose-tinted specs!). Lots of work needed
10th Sep - Offered 95,000 (declined)
11th Sep - Spoke to agent, increased offer to max of £105,000 (so much work needed!)
12th Sep - Offer accepted! Solicitor instructed and broker is getting back to me with a lender! (edited...will be applying to Nationwide)
So excited right now! Although annoyingly I'm also ill with a viral infection (off work) and this whole thing has been a bit draining so far!0 -
Don't count on what I'm saying as gospel but as long as the shopping bill amount is nothing ridiculously as in hundreds or thousands then it shouldn't make a difference.:beer:0

Having a panic here!
I think it was last week I posted that our mortgage was approved pending receipt of our supporting documents (payslips etc) - not not being quite sure what that all meant - approved is good but surely until they receive all the paperwork we can still be declined?
Anyway, today I receive an email asking me where all our paperwork is. Its was sent to the broker on Monday so should be there by now surely. The bank require docs by next Monday - 10 working days after requested, and apparently nothing has been received. Mortgage advisor says they'll wait til Monday and if they're not received they'll 'assume they've been lost in the post unfortunately'. I cant believe they're lost in the post - more lost in an office, but if they assume they are lost what happens to our mortgage application? Is that it, end of story? We have no duplicates as we had to send original copies!! :mad:0 -
We've had an environmental report from the solicitor today which 'passed' but something flagged up as a flood risk within 50 meters (surface flooding, there's a field across the road) so the solicitor has requested more details. Hope this will be ok...0
