I noticed the search on my file within about a week or so after the full application. Had alerts setup with Equifax but it also reflected on Experian. My lender is Halifax. YMMV

Finalized Mortgage application with Nationwide this morning (which took 3 hours) :beer: survey booked for Friday 29th August. Fingers crossed :cool:

Update:

We had the mortgage approved subject to valuation that took place yesterday but not heard a peep yet! Anyone know how long Leeds usually take getting back the valuation reports?

When i rang them they were most unhelpful they just told me the valuers work to their own time-scale and it will arrive when it arrives! Jeese!

Congrats on the offers i've seen recently here and keep stong those that are waiting! I fully applied 31st July so it's been quite a month for me, i just hope i hear something this week! (this was with a broker too)

Well we put our full application, pay slips, p60s and a cheque for admin and valuation fee in the post to virgin on Saturday, wouldn't have been collected til Tuesday due to bank holiday! Called this morning and it's not been keyed into their system yet. Said to check back tomorrow afternoon or Monday as takes 48 hours once they have received hard copy to be keyed in!!! Agghhh

My updated timeline:

Received DIP with halifax: 16th August 2014
Offer accepted on property: 18th August 2014
Full application submitted: 26th August 2014
Valuation funds taken from account: 28th August 2014

Just waiting on hearing when the valuation is booked for x

Does anyone know if they normally request documents before they take valuation payment or can this be done after too.

Also, is it a good sign that the valuation payment has come out my account? Does it mean the credit checks have been done?
