Ah good luck madscientist I've seen your previous posts and wondered how you got on , your playing the waiting game like me , I believe natwest do the underwriting before valuation so if valuation comes back ok it's just tying up loose ends :-/ our MA is gonna chase things on Monday to check if they are happy with this last bank statement ! Good luck pembssurf and docmcstuffins hopefully we will all hear positive news soon , it's frustrating as our solicitor is brilliant and is racing through her bit !
  • Mortgage offer emailed by MA yesterday for full amount. Absolutely delighted. I would definitely advise using a broker - in my opinion it's money well spent.

I wish everyone else the best of luck!

Congrats welliesgreat that's great news :-D
  • Countrywide instructed to do the valuation. Fee paid for homebuyers. Just really hoping there isn't a LOW valuation!

Hi all, great to read about people getting to exchange! Just to update you, valuation came back with a market valuation amount which is equal to the amount of our offer that was accepted so that's good news. Also just received the paperwork from the solicitors with contracts, transfer deed and stamp duty paperwork....heading in the right direction in order to complete on 1st August 2014....but still plenty to do.

Good luck all and hope everyone is having a good weekend (despite the 'tropical' weather)!

Does anyone have any experience of submitting additional documents to Santander and how long it took them to review it? Super frustrated and extremely pregnant now - rough combination

Just got some !!!!py news from my lender, YBS.

They've stated that my chosen solicitor is not on their panel.

The funny / infuriating thing is that the mortgage advisor from YBS was the person who gave me my solicitors details!

I asked for a handful of names from their panel that were local to me, and went with the one that I thought offered the best price / service ratio.

So far no issues with the sols, but YBS have really put the cat amongst the pigeons now.

I've no idea where this goes next. I suspect instructing a new solicitor, paying off the existing one and then chasing YBS post-completion for me being out of pocket.

Just saw the below on the Woolwich TrackIt website:
    Your current status is...

    Step : Valuation Result

We've approved your valuation and will be preparing your offer shortly.

    Updated: 18 Jul 2014 04:34 PM

Valuation was done on Friday 11 Jul, and this is a 49% LTV mortgage which is about 5.4 times our combined annual.

Anyone know how long it takes from this stage or whether its approved or they are still considering it?

It's approved, they'll put the offer in the post shortly. Our status moved to that on a Thursday and IIRC the offer was in Friday's post!
