Hi there. We applied  with TSB on 24th October,  but haven't heard anything since. Anyone got an idea of their timescales? Our completion date is supposed to be 11th December.
We're waiting for TSB as well. Submitted everything over three weeks ago and still waiting.
They wanted a couple more details last week and we replied straight away but no one is scheduled to look at it again until 'sometime next week'.
They can only expedite an application if you're completion date is 48hours away.
Our completion date will be 18th December.
It's driving us nuts if we're honest, I don't know why they're accepting business if they can't process something in a reasonable time frame.
    Good luck with it.

Well done 👏 , mine also took 4 weeks, who was your provider if you don't mind me asking?
  • Very anxious about the whole process - we have had a hiccup two weeks down the line where MA sent the incorrect address for some of our application documents for property we are purchasing 😩 application was cancelled and resubmitted today - fingers crossed this hasn't delayed too much!
    16/10 - Decision in principle
    22/10 - offer accepted
    30/10 - application submitted
10/11 - hard credit search (ClearScore)
13/11 - application cancelled due to wrong address submitted by MA
    16/11 - application re-submitted
25/11 - hard credit search (Credit Karma)
    10/12 - valuation booked for 18/12
18/12 - valuation and homebuyers survey completed
23/12 - mortgage offer received and homebuyers survey returned
  • Also waiting .....
Should really be posting in Mortgage Free Wannabee but no. Due to a bad purchase 11 years ago, we are house hunting again. Bought/downsized to an apartment ... but, with hidden costs, fees, maintenance costs I've lost a fortune. (never seen lease till 5 years after purchase)
However, found a buyer, found a house to buy and at 58 I'm having to apply for a mortgage. Got the AIP wednesday last week, had a 2 hour phone call this morning with Halifax advisor, went thro earnings,CC balances etc ...all fine. Just need to upload documents, Underwriter to verify everything and hopefully mortgage approved. Pay for search and set the ball rolling.

Hopefully timescale is pretty quick so hoping for January completion.

Never thought I'd be doing this again at my age.
  • Seen on our tracker that natwest have seen the valuation. Really hoping to get an offer ASAP as it feels like it’s been outstanding forever!
I'm in the same position with natwest! Valuation paperwork sent through on monday afternoon. I'm hoping to hear soon as well. Remortgaging seems far less stressful to me than getting a new mortgage for moving house.
    Any news?

the online tracker has moved to the assessment stage but I am absolutely bricking it with the wait

Thought I'd call Virgin Money for an update this morning. Valuation was carried out yesterday and their SLA for document processing of any kind is around 6 days. So we'll need to see what happens next week....

21/10 - Received DIP from Virgin Money
    26/10 - Sent full application and payslips/P60s
29/10 - Received call from Underwriter with a couple of questions, all apparently looked ok. Advised that the valuation survey was being instructed and it could be a desktop one.
03/11 - Desktop valuation was booked in
04/11 - Called today to find that there wasn't enough data to carry out a desktop valuation, so they need to do a full survey and will be contacting the vendor
05/11 - The valuation surveyor (Connells) called this morning to ask about property access and keys for a valuation survey. I'm the buyer not the seller so that's not a good start! Have provided the seller's details so hopefully that all goes ok.
06/11 - Valuation of property booked in with vendor.
17/11 - Valuation report received by Virgin, awaiting review.
