Anyone want to join me? Awaiting Mortgage decision...

HomeownerDreamer said:My valuation is today. Been told it's a physical valuation and will be done some time between 9am and 12pm so literally right now or they could have done it already. The mortgage is 90% ltv with HSBC and already been underwritten so just waiting on this valuation before the offer. Is it reasonable to call them later today in the hope they receive the valuation the same day? So impatient and worried as the last house I tried to buy was zero valued and I just keep telling myself something will go wrong this time too. Can't take the waiting.

I’ve received an update from Accord, we have a Decision In Principles subject to valuation and final checks. They have confirmed the valuation has come back as expected so I guess we’re just waiting on final checks now. I can’t wait until I can relax again - I forgot what it feels like to not be anxious ha.0

Update from our BOI mortgage, MB said he chased and found out that we apparently passed affordability, credit checks and valuation, and that we are now just waiting for the mortgage offer to be issued by a senior underwriter... I am kind of happy but nothing is a done deal before you get the mortgage offer so... two or three more days of anxious waiting for me. MB said likely before the weekend though! So hopefully I can finally have a stress free weekend!2

@watch3r no hard searches recorded, they checked my identity and AML on Equifax today (no hard search but my score has dropped from excellent to good) and nothing showing on Experian, score still excellent. Hubby has some old defaults (over 6 years) so I’m nervous they are going to decline us 😫 even though we already have a mortgage and have had no payment issues at all for over 6 years

How do people know if they've had soft or hard searches done? My Equifax is showing what I think are 3 soft searches on 13/7 which is when we put in with Nationwide for the DIP, this then progressed as accepted for DIP and proceed to full app. The 3 searches are labelled: Credit Quotation / Subsequent (or follow up) Credit Search / Identity Verification.
Surely to do a Credit Search - it would show up as a hard search?
NW timescales:
DIP: 13/7
App: 16/7
Valuation: 6/8
NW offer: 20/80 -
This is killing my soul! So after my tracker had not been updated for 9 days I called the lender to be told they contacted the estate agents for valuation dates on 06/06 and they also contacted the broker for more evidence on this day! So on the 16/07 I called the broker, no answer left a message then we get an email from his PA saying apologies its only just been passed over documents are sent and that is that. I got an email Yesterday saying its waiting to go to underwriters and we will hear this week. Also the estate agents have booked the valuation for 31st July. Annoyed as I had to chase and chased but relieved to be at the next step. Our offer was in on 29/06 so nearly a month! and application in on 04/07.
Also our broker filled our our forms for us about covid and impacts.. I dont know how he knows how we were impacted but I really do hope he has said we got the grant. I emailed over and said I hope you saw that we got the grant. as if it is declined I have proof I told them.
Solicitors are waiting for paper work to carry out searches so I have a feeling this is all going to be a really long process. Still ma0 -
Newbie here with first post but thought it might help my nerves to share experiences whilst playing the waiting game.
My wife and I are moving house and here is the timeline of events so far:- June 26th - AIP from Habito to get an idea for what houses we could look at.
- Friday 3rd July - Put our house on the market
- Saturday 4th July - Offer accepted on our house (very quick)
- Monday 13th July - Third and final offer accepted on our dream house
- Tuesday 14th July - Application submitted to Barclays and hard searches made on credit files
- Friday 17th July - Underwriters requested 3 months business bank statements from my wife who is self employed
