Hi can anyone please confirm this is correct for me as The Mobile Outlet won't reply.
I ordered my phone from The Mobile Outlet on T-Mobile with 12 months free line rental (allegedly?)
My phone arrived on 23rd August 2007 ( Connection Date ) and my 1st bill arrived the following day on August 24th.
Can you please confirm that I will need to send the following bills
Installment date 1 (120 days from and including the date of connection which is December 21st 2007) I send the 4th bill (Dated November 24th 2007)
Installment date 2 (210 days from and including the date of connection which is March 20th 2008) I send the 7th bill (Dated February 24th 2007)
Installment date 3 (270 days from and including the date of connection which is May 19th 2008) I send the 9th bill (Dated April 24th 2007)
Installment date 4 (330 days from and including the date of connection which is July 18th 2008) I send the 11th bill (Dated June 24th 2007)
Installment date 5 (360 days from and including the date of connection which is August 17th 2008) I send the 12th bill (Dated July 24th 2007)
Many Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve,
the T&C which came into force in August state that for your first claim you should send a bill thats shows that you have been connected for a minimum of 120 days....by my calculations, the November 24th bill (approx 93 days from the date of connection) would not show that would it?
Also, the new T&C state that the complete bill should be sent.
Dont forget to include your original dispatch note with your first claim.
Make sure you send the correct cashback voucher with each claim.
I always send special delivery and insure for consequential loss.
i also include a short covering letter stating what I am claiming an listing the documents I have enclosed...
If you read all the posts in this thread you will also find that in some cases TMO have said that the correct documents have not been sent, even thought the claimants have sent them....

You're right, so does that mean I will have to send bills 5,8,10,12 and 13 instead?
Many thanks from

Thanks very much for your help. I understand exactly what you are saying in respect of ignoring the bill number and looking at the dates on the bills instead, but it just seems a little strange that in a 12 month contract I'm probably going to be sending my 13th bill to get my final cashback

Write to The Mobile Outlet this week and tell them what you are intending to send when your are sending in your 1st claim.
Send two copies of the letter from two separate post offices and obtain proof of posting.
Tell them to write/e-mail you within 21 days if you have made a mistake in your calculations.
This way their usual method of non-communication works in your favour, as you've got enough weight behind you [STRIKE]when[/STRIKE] if you have to threaten court action. :A
Photo and/or video your claim going in the envelope as they are 'mislaying' documents sent to them in a sealed envelope.Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -

hi Saint:
i sent my correct bills and a letter to TMO asking them to pay my cash back as usual as this time i have encosed my correct bills, as las time i sent them my bills earlier than i should have,,,, and i also sent them copies of the bills i sent them b4. and they got the origonals. and typed up and letter asking them to respond to me within 10 days whether they are agreeing to pay me or not.. and i mentioend tothem that i spoke to Consumer Direct about the matter and stated the Referance number in my latter to them..
i sent it through special delivery on friday and RM tried to deliver it to them on Saturday but somehow they werent there to receive it or soma so they left a card to then to rearrange the delivery or collect the item from RM..
i think there is soma fishy bout their Mail address too.. as som times whn you send some they have redirected their post and som times its just doesnt get to them....If electricty comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?0 -
Hi again
I think I now know what bills I need to send and when to send them.
I will also do this:-
'Write to The Mobile Outlet this week and tell them what you are intending to send when your are sending in your 1st claim.
Send two copies of the letter from two separate post offices and obtain proof of posting.
Tell them to write/e-mail you within 21 days if you have made a mistake in your calculations.

And then hope and pray the cashback is paid out!
Many thanks to kltpzyxm, thesaint and Jay22 for your help

Grayme-m scoffed at me for doing this and boasted that he just sent them a covering note of one paragraph. But grayme-m failed to get his cashback and (one way or another) I intend to get mine. How much it costs TMO for me to do so is up to them!
As yet we have not been informed that TMO are rejecting our claim.
However, how does O2 not sending out bills until much prodding which arrive after the 21 days of the billing date got anything to do with the length of the covering letter?Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0
