    The GunJack Returns !! :D

    GunJack's Regular Update - cb#3 of 5..

After some minor e-mail prompting, cb#3 cheque turned up earlier this week, making it a total of 50 days since TMO took delivery of the claim. Although the cheque was dated 7 Aug, it got to me on 22 Aug. Okay, there have been a few postal strike days, but no major chasing on my part has been needed for them to pay out. We're now in the middle of moving house, so cb#4 of 5 may get a little tight, but so far so good.

To the class of Sep/Oct/Nov 2006 - is everyone else still doing okay ?? I've been a bit busy of late so am getting slightly out of touch....

GunJack - cautiously optomistic of reclaiming everything due...

    My advice,

Read this thread, the chances of you receiving your cashback on time are slim/none.

No one is picking up the phone because they are closed. :)

I am not happy with the mobile outlet. I have taken out a contract for my daughter (in my name) and like the CNM T&Cs they also require a copy of the dispatch note. However, point 11.3 advises that you have to comply with the following 5 stages to qualify. The point referring to the dispatch note is in a completely different point (11.5). I felt that this was another way to try to catch people out. It is so easy to miss the small print with these companies!! I think it is time for the appropriate authorities to step in and stop these companies trying to rip innocent people off!!

In addition I haven't received any bills! I think they may be sending them by email, I didnt ask them to, but my "Boots" contract phone was with Vodafone and that was sent by email.

I assume this will be their best getout clause as I dont have an "original" invoice!!

    jeppy,

Whilst The Mobile Outlet are unlikely to win any 'Mobile phone retailer of the year' awards, your negligence to read the t's & c's would result in a failed claim with whatever company you chose.

You have 4 months minimum to find out why you haven't been receiving bills, if you still don't know why, cashback deals are not something you should be applying for. :A

I take your point, but I have read the terms and conditions I was merely pointing out that in the T&Cs in one paragraph it states that to qualify you have to follow 5 points. However, later on it then states you need to send in a dispatch note. I feel that this point should have been raised in the how to qualify paragraph.

To be honest in the past we have even had a Contract Phone to replace our landline as it works out so cheap (it could be free if you don't have teenage kids!!), however, it is becoming a minefield! My point is is it lawful to go out of your way to confuse the customer!! The majority of us do believe that they change the way to claim just to confuse people.

I am not a novice in this field but I agree, not due to my inexperience, but because of the deviance involved, I shall not be applying for anymore contracts. We now only have 3 and when they expire I shall forget the cashback route!!

Its now day 31 since TMO received my 3rd CB claim. I received confirmation that my claim had been received and was successful after 18 days. Been away on hols last week so I have been unable to chase it up with TMO until now. Sent a reminder to the cashback, customerservice and forumqueries email addresses and received the usual automated possible delay responses...but then again, I wasn't expecting a proper reply on a Bank Holiday...LOL
I got my last CB without tooooo much chasing, so I'm prepared to play cat and mouse for a few days before sending my already prepared LBA....
I'll post again when I have something to report.....

    kltp...oh, *** it !! no offence, of course :D

see my post on cb#3 of 5 a page or so back. It turned up on day 50 after a nice e-mail reminder and I also e-mailed them to thank them for sending it. Looking good to get the lot back....

    Hi mate,
K will do (no offence taken). I've read all the posts. It's always nice to be nice, until it's time not to be nice....(thats a quote from ROADHOUSE..good movie). I've always found that being polite during negotiations is the best way forward...

That's a coincidence that your's turned up on the 50th day, both of my claims both turned up on day 50 as well, I sense a pattern emerging
