Bought the Daily Mirror to see an article on page 29 'Penman & Sommerlad investigate' title 'Cashblack mark for phone firms' which is mainly about TMO!! The Director Attif Ashraf tells of a pile of excuses (lies!!) and says near the end of the article that 'he's ran out of money, he can't pay 5000 customers £600,000 and will have to go into administration'!
Thats some of my money and we all know what will happen in a few months time when this con artist sets up another business and starts ripping more people off!!
For the full article you should buy a copy of todays Daily Mirror. If I get the time soon I'll type it all in unless someone can be bothered to do it first.
I've lost out on £336!
The full article is on page 136 of this thread - quote no.2705. I read it too and sent an e-mail to Penman&Sommerlad asking them to take a look at this thread.0 -
"The demonstrably false suggestion that those who have lost money here participated in a "bet" is to level an accusation against them that the risk was transparent and part of the deal, and that anyone who complains is equivalent to someone shouting foul at a bookie because his horse hobbled home last"
I totally agree with you - thought Brenda's post was way too harsh. It's alright to say all that when you've been one of the lucky ones to get most of your cashback.0 -
phoned t-mobile who couldnt care less, stuck with contract and cant downgrade
hopefully something will happen legally over next few months that helps all those that have lost out, lot of money for people like me and almost 1 extra mortgage payment im gonna have to come up with now which will be a nightmare0 -
IT WAS A GAMBLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TAKING A CONTRACT FOR A 11/12 MONTH FREE DEAL ETC. WITH ANYONE IS A GAMBLE, YOU ARE GAMBLING THAT THEY THEY CAN PAY THE CASHBACK FROM THE COMMISION PAID, WHICH IS UNSUSTAINABLE IF 100% CLAIM CORRECTLY.
THE DIFFERENCE WITH TMO IS YOU WEREN'T BACKING A CERTAIN FAVOURITE, AS MY HUBBY SAYS, "IT WAS A LONGSHOT".
TAKE THE "BLINKERS OFF" AND THINK LOGICALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this would actually make me happy and worth losing the moneyCerreno,
What many seem also to have ignored was that any one of a number of unforeseen calamities could have occurred during the currency of the contract that would have put a small company like The Mobile Outlet out of business, fatal illness, death of the directors in a car crash, and so on.0 -
Hello all,
it's irrelevent as to whether it was a "bet" or not.
What matters is that those of us who are owed money by TMO are not going to get it...thats just the way it is....Bruce Hornsby & the Range said that. It's pointless bickering amongst ourselves, there's nothing to be achieved by this...
I'm not happy that I have had my trousers taken down, been greased up and then rogered with a raggy pineapple, but there's not a lot I can do within the law...and although this goes against the grain, it's time to let it go...
A big thanks to all who helped me along the way, especially Brenda, Gunjack, Shelby, Quentin & Saint.....0 -
spoke to the bailiffs today and they referred me to the article above so I did a quick search and therefore have posted it for you. So yes, Mobile Outlet is going into liquidation, the whole thing is disgusting, no one accepts any blame, this should never be allowed to happen but this is the world we live in today.
If you've got as far as judgement in your favour and are thinking of applying for a warrant, it will cost you £55 and the chances are you will get nothing back as there are already over 100 in the queue. It's your call but based on the above, I'm now gutted I spent that extra £55 myself!
Me too but surely we're in the queue at least with the administrators.
Damn, they owed me £450 I think at last count0 -
How come they are still selling two phones on website and it seems with contracts for most of these firms who are denying any responsibility,Orange,O2,T-Mobile,Vodaphone.NICE PROFIT FOR THEM!!!!!!!!!0
