Yeah, I don't mid by PM if people feel that way. It is however a foru for consumers and to save consumers money so it might be useful for other prospective customers to know if the company may not be around in a few months, even if it is a guess

    GunJack's back again

cb #2 of 5 update: today (sat) is day 59 of cb#2. Just as I was going to go online to MCOL to begin filing against TMO, when our postie turned up. Imagine my suprise when I looked through the post and there was a TMO envelope with a cheque inside :D So much for "payment by BACS in 7-10 days" !! Anyhow, cb#2 of 5 recieved on Day 59., cheque dated 4 Jul 07 which was 3 days after my "5 days or else" e-mail to them.

cb#3 of 5 update: cb claim #3 of 5 signed for by TMO on 3 July 07, so today is day 4. As always will keep you all updated....

GunJack - slightly happier than I was yesterday :D

    Excellent news GunJack.

As grayme-m stated in one of his earlier posts "The one consistency with TMO is that they are inconsistent."

Call me cynical, but I would be concerned if a company that has switched to BACS payments, sent me a cheque.

Isn't it the case that you need money in your account to do a payment by BACS, whilst you can issue a cheque in the hope/knowledge that there will be funds in there by the time it is cashed.

Just a thought, but where I work we do two BACS payments a month, otherwise if we need to, we do cheques.

Yes, thats very feasible, they may have realised that leaving the payment until their next bacs cycle would be too late to get the payment out before GJ started the legal process...

Guys - I fully understand where you're all coming from with the cheque stuff. Brenda hit the nail on the head regarding photocopying it first, I have done this with other suspect cheques prior to banking them. Interestingly, it's a HSBC cheque ( I bank with HSBC), so it should show up as being available to me by Monday night if I drop it in the lobby service deposit machine. I will, as always, keep you informed.

As for the cynic in us all, I wondered about their BACS cycle too :D

I do hope it is their BACS cycle, this means that they have stopped racking up court dates and will now only wait until LBA's before paying up.:j

A tip for anyone sending an LBA, mark it as such on the front of the envelope, as they are woefully behind in opening their mail, they will open these to stop any further appearances in front of the beak.

saint - if they're going to wait and only pay on LBA, they can have mine pre-dated for cb#3 of 5, even though it's only day 4 of that claim !! :D
