I had an interview for ASDA many moons ago. I applied for an admin role too, and ended up in a room full for Uni students wanting temporary summer jobs in both the offices or on the shop floor. Apparently when they get lots of applicants, they do the American thing and see who is the most willing to act different scenarios the most cheerful. (You know the kind of thing)
It wasn't just the awful form that I had to fill in, it was the fact that we all had to do the 'Walmart Dance' *shudder*
I really don't like 'interviews' like this. But I'd just warn you OP in case you manage to fill the form in and get an interview.;)
BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.

Group interviews don't bother me as I had one once with 20 other people where you had to stand up and tell everyone about you with no notice and got the job. But since this is for one job I doubt it would be like that.

I have given up as I have tried to apply 4 times now and still get the same outcome

Maybe because most people waffle and right bull Crap in them anyway. They probably just want to see regular back to back employment and relevant field

same for me. The interview was the most excrutiatingly, painful, embarrassing experience of my life. Never will I put myself through that again.

I applied to Asda - last time 2008 and it was called Asda Magic. Had to do balloon sctructures and towers with spaghetti and marshmellows. I can't blow up balloons. So did I fail for unable to blow balloons?

I managed in the end to apply to two roles and yesterday I got the thanks but no thanks and today a reply saying I hadn't completed the application and therefore was not considered and could not apply again for the role.

Rather odd when I applied for both roles together.

ASDA head office wont put me through to HR and its a farce!

They have never met me!! LOL

They cant say I failed to complete the form when I applied for two at the same time and the site said they were completed applications.

    The site says Completed assessments
Thank you for completing your online application and assessments. Your application has now been submitted, please click on the close button below and we will be in touch soon with next steps.

But seems the individual role is now marked 'not complete'!!

Its all rather odd if you ask me that a company as big as them wont let you talk to HR.

It doesn't seem odd to me. They get so many applications that they probably just keep one in twenty or whatever and the rest get a no thanks. They don't want to answer questions from all those who fail or they'd never get off the phone. They don't actually care about people, that comes across loud and clear.
