Application process as indicated on their website (http://www.asda.jobs/stores/hourly-paid-roles-in-stores/application-process/) (bold italics are my emphasis)
No its ONLY asks for interests & any OTHER work other than the 5 jobs I had to list

That was it then last box as you can see from my photo says
Assessment but it didn't allow me to do that TWICE so at a guess I failed the application process and that's why the page says CLOSE

    Step three

When you've found a job that's right for you you can either save it in your 'job basket' and come back to it later or you can apply straight away. When you do apply you'll be guided through the process and just like a standard application form, this involves you telling us your details, your experience, a bit more about your interests and why you'd like to work with us. You'll then complete a verbal, a numerical and finally a personality test.

Just tried again using IE and I get the same before the assessment it just says CLOSE and you hit that and the window closes

They do not even have a contact so I can ask what's happening.

So you complain when companies overlook you for being overqualified and you complain when you are giving a perfectly valid opportunity to not look as overqualified?

Eh? How can I not look over qualified? At this rate no one will look even qualified as there is no where to say what you did at each job regardless.

I can not even complete the application process.

I did an online application form for Asda, multiple times, all of them were unpleasant. I filled in the application form which included all the usual stuff, name, previous employment, equal opportunities, additional notes to support application etc.

Then the horror began, an English test, a Maths test and then a multiple choice scenario test about customers approaching you when you were told to get stock out quickly.

If I remember correctly some of the choices wereL
    a) You ask the customer to find another member of staff as you are busy
    b) You lead the customer to another member of staff and then return to your urgent stock replenishing task
    c) You help the customer patiently with a smile and then return to your task and explain to your supervisor why it took so long
    d) Some far fetched miracle

I would not wish these applications on my worst enemy. Sorry for the rant but I am still recovering from the traumatic experience. :p

The Weatherspoons tests I took involved questions like (I'm working from memory and paraphrasing here):

"George is old and lonely and is asking for you advice dealing with his problems. He is a regular customer, but you are very busy and customers are lining up at the bar. Do you:

    A) Continue speaking with George for bonding with customers is more important
    B) Politely inform George that you cannot speak with him at this time because you must attend to other customers and will get back to him when the bar is clear.
    C) Tell George that it is unsuitable for you to engage in this conversation when mental health services are available.
    D) Offer to meet George outside of work.

That was about one of 15 questions of this nature...LOL & WTAF?

Don't get me started on the maths questions. Whilst I didn't get the job, I know that I was able to accurately calculate that gammons have a higher profit margin than the burger & drink deals.

After getting my new job and rejected from this one I went into the same place and saw a new girl about 30 years my junior with much perkier and much LARGER "assets" if you get my drift prominently displayed with ample cleavage.

    Sigh...

Supermarkets don't really care what experience you have. It takes 1 shift to train people up to the required standard. They want good drones, hence personality tests.
