talk talk tv UPDATE

I got a mail shot from talk talk (I have phone & bb with them) offering me tv, bb & phone calls, free for 3 months & £15.50 thereafter.
My phone & bb is £6.50 a month (I think? Getting it half price for my first year though), so the tv is only an extra £9.00.
Thats a lot less than I pay sky for the entertainment plus (I think).
How is talk talk different?
I did look for a channel list before, with sky I have the docs, home, childrens & music channels - that plus the basic list & the recording facility is quite a lot.
It says talk talk tv pauses, records & rewinds too.

Even the cheapest DVRs will pause & rewind - and there's no minimum commitment, but there is with TT. Add up the full commitment cost, then decide!0

The difference is the channels you get. Any PVR gives you the Sky+ functions. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
-
You can't record the TT channels atm.0
-
It records the freeview channels, not the on line ones.
You won't get Sky Atlantic if thats one you watch, on the plus side there is no need for a drip tray to catch all the blood after watching an episode of the Borgias. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

95% of the time I use channels 1 to 5.
Sky have offered me the basic channels at £5 per month for three months, without renewing my contract, I took that & will review in 3 months.0 -
and the other 5%?That gum you like is coming back in style.0

I would like to know from someone who has talk talk TV what the record, rewind & pause functions are like?
Is it like sky?
Can you series link?
Is it scroll through a planner & hit one button?
If it is, then for £9 I'm happy with that, as 95% of the time I only watch 1 to 5 anyhow.0
