Jeez - will people NEVER learn that waving our bargains under the supermarkets noses is NOT a very bright thing to do ! A little discretion is needed to ensure that we can carry on. A very daft idea to start this new thread.

There is a world of difference in everyone learning about offers and encouraging people to post about extreme couponing and posting pictures of their stash!!

I can soon see the end of coupons in paper form.

Perhaps we will see more of the cashback schemes such as topcashback and quidco that give the money off by way of sight of the receipt.

No one is trying to stop others learning about offers available. The information is on other threads if you can be bothered to look.

I totally agree with all the other sensible posters, this is a very bad idea. This website sold for an enormous amount of money by advertising information that was freely posted by forumites. It is not the forumites that are being greedy here.

No bandwagon just people with common sense. If it were solely for the preserve of a few then surely the threads where all the info is would be password protected everything is here if you look for it? If this thread goes ahead then you will see LOTS of greedy people who will abuse the coupons system and get it closed down within 6 months, you might as well send all the supermarkets a personal email with the link the thread so they can close it down quicker! why would MSE want to push for people to be greedy and have stashes anyway there's nothing big nor cleaver about that.

Everyone has an equal chance at coupons if they just put a little time in and i'm talking minutes!

A lot of dam good posters have already fled MSE, and I predict many more will follow if this idea takes off. If it ain't broke don't fix it! It works fine as it is. Leave it be.

I've signed in to comment that this is a bad idea, but I realised that that's an understatement. This is a stupid idea.

Is this idea the result of MSE trying to compete with 10ways in terms of followers and popularity?
