It can be just one leg if required or like I have booked, out to one place and back from another as we are doing a road trip in between.
    Hi Josey,
Tried to book the flight today.....but couldnt book a return flight as the return date is outside the date bad. Not sure whether it wil be worth booking two singles......will have to do some more maths......
  • imho I think that the people on the phones are applying the codes manually and that is why there is some discrepancy. You could always re-try calling if an itinerary doesn't work!

Thanks for this thread, just saved £110! Best price for a ticket was from AA website at £391 and was quoted £281! Very impressed.:D
  • Thanks for reminding me about this great offer! Just managed to get 2 flights to Miami on xmas day for a total of £550. :T
Like others though I was quoted a different price on the phone and tried to argue the point! I was first told to reserve online, then phone back with the reservation code. They then pick up the flight details on their screen but they see different info to us as they are not allowed to quote online prices. They were saying to me "the base fare is such and such" and I was saying "no its not, I am looking at the screen and its completely different!"
Spoke to 3 different people who agreed the website was misleading as it appears the 'base' fare online included some sort of tax/fee, however they would not budge. Don't mind really as I was really pleased with the price anyway but you know you must try for that little extra just in case!! Saved roughly £220 which went towards paying for my accomodation in the Florida Keys. Also saved on the car hire as Hertz are offering 10% discount for mastercard customers as well - see site:

so I am a very happy money saving traveller! :j
  • I thought this was excellent. I go to Fort Lauderdale every November and have been looking at ways to avoid the old London-Miami route with BA and Virgin. There are no direct flights to Lauderdale, so I was prepared for a stopover somewhere. I must say, I'm impressed by this offer. I got Gatwick to Lauderdale via Dallas on 9 November and a return from Philadelphia to Heathrow via Chicago on 23 November (spending Thanksgiving in Philly) for £265. I haven't had a fare like that in years! And the stopover are very short in both directions.

The 0845 number no longer works, but they give you this one: 020 7365 0777, which others have already mentioned.
  • There seems to be a lot of people complaining that they aren't getting 50% off the web fare here. If you check the t&c's of the offer, it excludes booking class "O" which tends to be the web fares. AA does a lot of 4 day offers that you can find out about by subscribing to thier email service.

For all of you complaining about not being able to accrue BA miles on AA metal across the Atlantic, you'll need to complain to the Dept of Trade on both sides. The "Open Skies" agreement should help, but it won't for a long time. If you've got a BA card, all I'll say is that unless you regularly travel on BA across the atlantic, you'd be better off with an AA card as you accumalate miles quicker (if you fly that is) than BA.

The taxes issue does irk me though. It seems to have mind of its on. I've priced a multi stop trip and regardless of if I have 1,2 or 3 stops, the taxes hardly changes.

Also, for the privelage of booking over the phone you are probably paying the £15 service charge without realising it.
  • Just used the code and booked two tickets from Stansted to JFK 1-5 November. Online quote of £251.50pp on the phone £203.78pp so saved £95.44. Great code, thanks!
  • Rang on Wednesday and booked a multistop trip to the east coast with direct flights to/from LAX (if you can avoid US domestic travel, then do!).

    Mastercard deal:£289
    Web:£420!!

repriced today and if I wanted the direct flights to LAX and my additional legs, it would be £860!! But if I went via JFK or ORD I could get it for £390. I'm sure this will change after 1st of Sept when they do their yeild management.
  • I have just phoned up to try and get some prices for New York to see if it would beat the Zoom.com price of £199.

I got told because the flight was under £100 per person excluding taxes, this promotion is not valid.

    Can anyone else confirm this?
    Mortgage as Sept 2012: £96,000
    Mortgage free: When i'm 39 / Sept 2023

    Mortgage repayment = £588
Tracker Rate 1.99% above base: 2.49%
  • The terms and conditions don't seem to mention a minimum spend. Here is the link to the t+c if you want to check as they are quite long to post here.
