Driving with Headlights on

I can forgive the Fiat 500's in the sense that they're never on automatically at the same time as the headlights which is always annoying with the fogs on driving towards you with dipped on dark country roads. I tried it out of curiosity for a moment and it made barely any difference to over dipped on their own.
I agree though, LED DLR's on some cars look ok, but on small hatches they look better with something like the Corsa D or Fiat 500All your base are belong to us.0 -
My 12 year old car has auto headlights than turn on depending on the weather.0

Yes there are a few of those about and are a good idea. Presumably ideal for those drivers who are unable to make the decision themselves when they should have their head lights on in reduced daytime visibility (not suggesting that you are one of them). Where I live, there seems to be quite a few of them.
So this system should be fitted to all vehicles IMHO. Better than DLRs.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -
They don't bother me. In fact some LED daytime running lights look quite good.
I'd find much more irritating and dangerous having the OP slow down to 30 in front of me in an attempt to 'warn' me that my lights were on.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)
Savings target June 18 - £22,281.99 / £25,0000 -

Most MB's have the same but you can have them operating manually by not selecting auto on the light switch.0 -

If such a little thing winds you up so much then I suggest you get some counselling.
or stop driving, especially if you travel at 30mph everywhere, that would be most inconsiderate on a 60mph road for example...0 -

Yep and I'm pretty sure the OP actually committed an offence by deliberately slowing down because he wanted to get one up on the other driver.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -

Yes but he would never accept that though!
You only need to read this thread here to see that the OP is barking mad. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

I like having mine on auto. And on the 206 you got to hold a button with key in ignition or something like that to turn auto on or off. Not as simple as flicking the switch to auto.
They were on auto when I got the car and left it like that.0
