Good luck. I'll update here too. I'm not bothered about interest given mine was recent and interest rates aint gonna rise for years plus having gone through a previous claim in small claims ct i'm glad to avoid all the stress whatever the outcome is0 -
Thanks, this is an interesting thread. The idea of a 'no win, no fee' solicitor is great for flight delays, but there is no way I would sign up to that agreement!!0

Well you either go it alone, walk away or use a NWNF firm. You will find all have similar conditions within their agreements and if you therefore decide to use you just have to choose the firm you believe are going to, hopefully, achieve the result you desire. Going on current claims/results Bott & Co seem to be one of the better ones to use.0 -

Is there any evidence of these solicitors achieving results that make it worth taking the risk of the fees that their lengthy terms and conditions set out? In my case, two of us were delayed six hours meaning possible entitlement to 500 Euros between us. If EU Claim take 27% plus 25 Euros, that's a 340 Euro maximum pay out. I would't run the risk of all those costs for that. Walk away, that's what most people do and why the airlines get away with it sadly.0 -

You just have to read the threads and make up your own mind. My claim was for 500€ and informed Monarch I would accept 400€ for a quick BACS payment - they didn't even have the courtesy to reply. So I took them to Court and achieved £650 - with their Barristers and solicitors it must have cost them around £3,000 in fees alone and the adverse publicity http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2338887/Our-victory-thousands-left-stranded-flight-delays-Couples-payout-26-hour-ordeal.html
must be costing them a great deal more. People have to decide themselves whether to go it alone or appoint a no win no fee but possibly the other alternative rather than walking away is let someone else to take the risk (I might be up for it!) so long as 100% is given to charity. At least that way someone benefits.0 -

I found the work involved in bringing our case an interesting exercise and fortunately was successful (I do have the time being retired) If you do your research and work through the documents etc. it is a relatively simple exercise. The fees are not excessive and in our case would not have caused any financial hardship.
The compensation has gone a large way to purchase our next holiday.0 -
I sounded out Euclaim about my delayed klm flight in June 2011 but they said the statute of limitation had passed as they would have to take klm to court in Holland(where it is only 2 years apparently). They did tell me however that they had successfully won claims for the flight i was enquiring about.0

I agree. Why the heck would anyone give away over a quarter of your settlement, especially when already posting on MSE, where there is guidance and template letters galore? It's like paying someone from PPIReclaimsRUs to nick some of your PPI reclaim money.
:eek:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Because I've already written letters and the airline have refused to pay or give me any answers. My only option was no win no fee or take them to court myself. I am to busy and could live without the stress of doing it myself so 27% is a small price to pay under the circumstances.0
