I think you're on a loser arguing that the bills are less in the summer months than winter, I've never heard of an inclusive rent that varies according to the seasons. Just stick to the facts, her property, supply in her name. I'm assuming you were paying this on top of the rent and that it wasn't included?Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -
The £650 amount is the rent and that includes bills. The Sky is extra as I took that out about 4 months ago, so in total I am paying about £670 a month.0

Re bills being less in the summer than winter: when we work out an all inclusive rent for our lodgers, we even out our annual bills over the year (as indeed we pay the same each month by DDM to gas an elec as those companies do the same).
This makes life simpler and holds no surprises. (And generally balances ok as most lodgers are here over the spread of a year any way)
I think to save the friendship you should pay it, but I think she should immediately offer to split it 50/50 as you have not been able to transfer it to your new address. If she continues to rent out her flat, having sky installed could be an asset, even if it's one she didn't what it in the first place.
Can't help thinking she's avoiding paying tax on rental profit with all this secrecy... as well as breaking the terms of her mortgage of course.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Why not just get your friend to move it to your new flat, but keep it in her name?
When the contract is up, cancel it and reopen a new account in your name.0 -
I think you should pay - you took it out and have been using and enjoying the service.
Which is more important to you, keeping the friendship or saving money?0 -

Far as I am aware she is going to put the flat on the market as its not worked out for her. I hope she is going to take the Sky account to her current address, so that would be problem solved!
However, she contacted Sky and she had a response saying they cant do it due to "different connections." Anyway, I have looked into it further and it can be done by taking the box and the engineer to fit the new dish.0 -

how long is the contract?
how much is the termination fee?
how much to see out the contract at the lowest sky package deal?0 -
tbh I would forget the issue of what she's included in the £650 - presumably you were happy to pay that so that issue is neither here nor there.
As for the cancellation fee personally I think you ought to pay it - you are having the 'benefit' of sky you wanted it in the property and presumably if you had had it your name then you would have had to pay the cancellation fee.
For whatever reason she wanted the bills /sky in her name I think you're trying to wriggle out of paying on a technicality2014 Target;
To overpay CC by £1,000.

Its only £15 a month (got the 50% codes ;o) )
The lowest amount will be £10 a month. Might be tempting just to carry on paying until the end of the 12 month contract. I took it back in April..
Fingers crossed my mate will have the Sky back at her place.0
