I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
Hopefully you are feeling better today, Buffy.

Those big payments (such as vets and passports) do take large chunks out of our budgets dont they. I remember a few years ago my cat had to be seen by the vet on a bank holiday and i had to pay £70 just for the appointment!!

Buffy I really hope you're feeling better by now. Don't talk to me about budgets and wasting money - the T-shirt is long shrunk on those counts for me!

    Hi Buffy

I've got Tesco credit card and it always takes a while for payments to show up on online balance so hope this is the case with you. Hate it when this happens though - makes you want to SHOUT! Hope tooth and head aches are better very soon.

Yeah it seems a very inefficient website, bit basic! Hugs to you SA in case I don't get to your diary XXXXX

am shattered - work was good and all my payments have gone out from the bank. I spent too much in Sainsbury's but did buy some house stuff, a sheet for the sofa, some washing up liquid, expensive coffee for Mum who is too tired to appreciate it. She is so tired lately. Pet food in spades. Flipping dogs and delicate tummies.

I have £260 pounds to last the month. Well I have 490 in my bank but am not touching that except for Petrol. I do want to pay as much as I can back into my savings.

plus my pay at the end of this month will be sadly depleted.

    Hi Buffy

Don't talk to me about taking money out of savings!!!! Have taken a very sizeable chunk out of mine today to cover various expensive expenses. But at least better than adding to debt and at least we have savings to cover them. Don't worry about Mr Right - he'll come along when you least expect it. Enjoy time to yourself and a bit of freedom. And make sure he'll be able to keep you in the style you're accustomed to!

    Hello

So...............the washing machine broke...........THREE weeks ago. had to do washing at my sisters.

Lovely man fixed it today. Mum pleased.

This morning however the shower packed up.

(Boris Johnson is on tv. Amusing.)

(also worrying. but hey ho. One crisis at a time)

Luckily (?) both are insured. Just stresses Mum and so me out.

Family stuff is causing problems. I am being.............oh.

Essentially, it comes down to money. I don't have it. my sister can come to the rescue (she doesn't mean it like that but the dynamics of our family means she is ALWAYS the perfect one) and I don't like it.

I need to let it go but the cold realisation is that as soon as I move out Mum will be skint and have to rely on my sister and have my sister's permission (at least that is how Mum will see it to some extent) to do stuff or have stuff, the point that it also isn't my sister's money it is her boyfriend's and that means Mum is reliant on someone who isn't a member of our family? It just doesn't feel very safe. He is very opinionated. seemed to dislike for example that I got the garden done and subsequently has not touched it in a weird unspoken protest =of course now the weeds are coming back :( and my 500 has been for nothing.

You see before (AGES AGO) when I was moving my with my then boyfriend I would have had surplus cash to still help Mum out. Whilst I wouldn't say my life had car crashed it certainly has worked out exactly as planned ;) Whilst in my old job I had the cash floating about but now in temp work being paid weekly and not getting holiday pay etc I simply don't.

I know to some people reading this it will sound ridiculous as I read about people who receive money from their parents happily to help them out, I think some families are sort of lucky that they agree they are in it together. We don't have that. I wish I could think oh it's only money and it is family so it shouldn't matter, but I just cannot. Some thing instinctive just says no.
    And I cannot ignore that.

I am going to get some quotes and see exactly what is going on. sis has offered to pay (but (bf)wants control over how it is done)

Once I know what things cost I can make a plan.

There is so much to do.

It is such a sodding nuisance as I have had a LOVELY week at work. I don't suppose they will always be like that but it has been a really positive experience.

    Got loads to do tomorrow.

    night all XX

Right. to feel a bit more in control I paid the rest of my Tesco's bill

a shocking 280 pounds. I used my savings *sob* (petrol and the last of the vets I think. need a statement.)

also paid a bit off the big card. now stands at 4902.64

Savings.......so angry at myself as this is essentially the money I borrowed - to buy car, have op (paid for MA and garden) stand at 3900. Should be more like 4500.

any how. hungry so going to bed. can't think any more.

    night again!
