I love this place
thank you SA and PLMBL
Today has been mixed.
Finally someone has shown their true colours. So I know I was correct to leave my job.
I knew that in my heart, with my instincts but it is good to have confirmed proof if you like.
Work - lessons were good. still feel a bit out of it. but it is only till Christmas.
Pay..........................
not as much as I thought!
going to be a lot less overall.
bit scared.
well more than a bit!
But well.......not much I can do about it now!!
Aside from Budget Budget Budget and sell everything.

You'll get there, you know how.
In the words of the immortal Beanie - keep plodding
And I love the idea of the man with a decent shoe size and matching bulge in his wallet:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Right...........so I have one week's pay in my bank.
Before the end of the month I will have another 2 weeks pay. I can pay all my bills.
This life as a supply teacher is going to be financially complicated.
I have money to spend so to speak - on petrol and shopping. from my second job.
I know I do not want a permanent job.
I don't want to get involved again and have the life sucked out of me. This weekend I finished my fish pond and that is the type of thing I want to be doing. Things about me, my family and friends, I'd like a relationship!
SO I MUST make this work. Less money is an acceptable price to pay.
so at the risk of losing this post I just paid my RBS card and my Tesco's card. and a tenner off the big card.
If I don't spend ANY money from my accounts I will be ok. My needs are 40 quid a week petrol and 30 quid for food shopping. I have the cash for this. Just.
The e mail guy just wrote to me. Funny how him writing makes me happy.
80 X 4 = 320.......... just pondering
Best go and get ready for work. shame weekends go so fast.

Hi Buffy - just checking in on you. Weekends go way too fast for my liking!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Hello folks.
Went to Sainsbury's and spent 44 pounds.
Admittedly this included a new hairbrush(5.99), tights(3.50 and face cream(5.99) and some face wipes (2.50) for Mum.
so is about 30 for my breakfasts, lunches, the guinea pigs and snack food.
Realistically this has to be a lot less!
Also had to get petrol. 30 quid got me about a 1/4 of a tank.
In other news I have been thinking a lot about my ex. No clue why. Well, lots of music, place and food (!) reminders. very odd. seem hyper aware and honestly when I was shopping I did nearly have to hang on to the shelf to pull myself together. I am other wise happy but have this feeling - it pops up and overwhelms me just miss him so badly:(.
any how don't want to dwell on stuff I don't understand.
Does anyone else get paid weekly? Any advice?
cheers XXXXNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Am watching Educating Yorkshire.
and wetting myself - it hasn't even started yet!
God bless teachers every where
gobby Robbie........met a few of them in my time.
:rotfl::rotfl:
ahem.
Am increasing worried by my weekly pay. I know I have paid bills early this month but I overspent generally (on WHAT?)
Am contemplating working my wages like this
week one and two
ignore money and leave it to pay rent and bills.
week three
credit card. Straight off on Friday.
week four
spending money? savings. half and half. blooming going to be elastic money that week!
I will attempt to use money from second job for petrol and food. And maybe some spending money.
(Educating Yorkshire is now making me cry)
Some weeks there won't be a week 3 and 4!
So does this sound like a workable plan?
xxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Hi Buffy - your plan sounds like a good idea. You could at least try it for a couple of months to see if it works. At least you'll know in weeks 1 and 2 the bills are covered.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Sounds like a plan dearest Buffy.
Keep plodding
If it is any consolation I am overspending as I am missing B.

yes, bills must be paid first and then go from there. So impressed with your money stuff SA and everything you are doing XXXXSounds like a plan dearest Buffy.

any excuse!!
I have overspent all summer and only have some stuff to show for it. Still done now. Sorry you are missing B XXXXXX
Today was good. nice even
I spent much of the weekend trying to sort out the various pets. the fish look good but I am over stocked and need to find homes for some. It is depressing going on some pet forums. you always find you are doing some thing wrong and are entirely evil.
However it was nice to come home to shiny clean tanks and happy fish....
The guinea pigs are ok finally, I am happy with the cage and general sorting. My room is on the way to being much better - I got to put the furniture up - finished tonight.
Tomorrow is my tough day so I should go to bed.
Moneywise..................I bought shoes. I am weak!
I went out to dinner on Saturday. Both on my CC. so will pay that - 34.99 for shoes, 29 for dinner.
I now have two pairs of comfortable shoes for work. plus various impracticable shoes for going out!
must sleep

Current debt = 4860
My new system of ignoring the first two weeks pay starts next week.
I have 240 in the bank but most of that is going into savings and what not. I have a cheque and an overpayment on my cc that will be moved to my account, to hopefully be ignored for a bit and moved to the car savings.
Things are tight but doable.
It would take 12 weeks to pay off the card if I spent on nothing else.
Obviously that isn't going to happen! but it does give me a clue re how long it would take - 6 months maybe?
I still toy with the paying it off using my (fake) savings. It is quite worrying although to be honest am over worrying about it.
going to do some more bad maths!!
