    Hi Buffy

Hope your dog is better soon. It's one thing after another isn't it! One of my work colleagues dog kept being sick and her vet told her to give him weetabix with an actimel on it every morning for his breakfast. It worked. However, your dog sounds like he's got a bug or something.

Doggy still in hospital still no food. I am pretty much beside myself really. I am so scared.

Plus one of the gps has diabetes and I think one of the gerbils is very ill.

Money plans gone to pot totally with gps needing the vet so soon after the previous emergency, Was all prepared to do my room this week but dog getting ill scuppered that and it all getting worse and worse. Am so tired(other dog has cried all night now and will not settle) and unhappy - I think this feeling is mainly caused by a dream that has upset me even tho I can't remember it plus one of my friends has upset me as well. I feel I am being taken advantage of.

    best get to the vets.

    xxx

  • Sorry to hear you sounding so down, although it's understandable with so much going on.

Hope all goes ok at the vets and you resolve the issue with your 'friend'. Xx

  • Being tired really does change everything. Gerbil may just have an infection not a tumour so that is good. As far as my friend goes well....it's sort of the way she always is. She has a much more high powered job then me and is very used to people just doing what she wants when she wants it. I have let her get away with it but I think on top of the dog in hospital(still no improvement) and Mum having a massive stress about it plus realising that the guinea pigs need to be separated (MORE expense and 0 room) and the gerbil I am done!

Lots of niggly things. Aside from the dog obviously who is worrying me.

oh and I have no money. In fact at this point - money. I will have to borrow out of my savings - am very grateful to have this option obviously.

I wish Mum wouldn't get stressed. the dog is being looked after. we have done everything right...............ugh........

Dog is home - hooray!!!!! Hope this means he's recovered. Good job you have savings to fall back on. Some people wouldn't. Hope you've made it up with friend although I'm thinking true friends wouldn't upset you in the first place.

    Hey Buffy,

Great to see dog is home.Must be a relief to you and mum.
A suggestion re the Masters - I used to find all sorts of other distractions when I did mine. In the end I found that fetting away from them helped. Make it part of your day to go to the library and force yourself to focus,on it for a few hours at a time. It's like having to go back to your school/uni habits but may help.

    Sending lots of love

Today has been awful, Mum is down too, and two people suffering from depression in the same house is very difficult to manage.

I managed the dentist and little else. Bedroom is disgusting worse then it ever was when I was an actual teenager. I had planned to tidy it but hate Saturdays so much here I should know better than to try and do any thing in the house.

any way this is all of my own making and people have far more serious things to deal with and I am made or once was made of sterner stuff than this.

    So

    http://zenhabits.net/6-practical-and-powerful-ways-to-overcome-depression/

I really like this guy and could lose myself for ever in his blog. I used to aim for that sort of life once.

His article lead me to this book, via a few others.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Depression-Cure-Programme-ebook/dp/B003ULP3MQ/ref=tmm_kin_title_0#_

I must beat this depression. I must. I hate admitting it. I hate feeling that I haven't made any progress I loathe thinking my life will be like this forever.

I got in touch with an old friend today, that was hard. haven't spoken to her since her wedding - not deliberate at all, we e mailed but lost touch as work (!) got in the way. In the interim she has two kids and has been married for 10 years. Of course nothing has really happened to me, and I spent most of the day feeling like a failure. (That assessment isn't exactly true but it is how I am feeling so in a funny way it doesn't matter)
I simply cannot believe it has been 10 years.

any how trying not to dwell on that.

SO I am going to read the book and go back to doing 3 things a day as a starting point.

tonight I am going to do some journaling.

    thanks

Thanks for that Zen habits blog link Buffy, I've had a read of that caveman stuff (like it!) and also downloaded his free PDF book, great stuff!
