I know it sounds daft but try putting some food bowls down for the cats on the soil. Hopefully, they will not crap where they eat. If the neighbour is unreasonable then all is fair in love and war (no cruelty though).The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

you've made my day, thank you!:money::j:jOur gorgeous baby boy born 2nd May 2011 - 12 days overdue!!:j:j0 -
It might be worth suggesting she set up a sandbox or litter tray outside in her own garden to encourage the cats to go there.
My kits are indoors so it;s not a problem I've had to deal with but I believe this has worked for other people in the past, especially if the owner has indoor litterboxes for them to use rather than expecting them to always go outside. It might perhaps be worth suggesting to the neighbour that she tries this?Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!? :huh:0 -
The only thing that has worked in my garden to keep the cats out is a sonic scarer, it scares the birds as well though and I want birds to visit my garden.
I use the sonic at the front of the house and at the moment I just chase the cats at the back of the house (when I see them)0 -
These are really for fence tops:-

But they might be an option.
I suspect they won't do any harm but make it uncomfortable for their paws.0 -

hi there, talking to the neighbour is a no go I'm afraid (see above quote lol) and I am really reluctant to get a sandbox or littertray. I really really dislike cats and their poo - the thought of encouraging them to actually crap in small contained area makes me feel sick:j:jOur gorgeous baby boy born 2nd May 2011 - 12 days overdue!!:j:j0 -
in our last house the neighbours cats left the earth alone but pood all over the grass, they didnt even try and cover it up. both of them did it, it was disgusting we had to clear the garden before the children could go and play.Listing 1000 things on ebay 48/1000 (952 to go)0

I know cats and dogs are different but... I was always told never to clean dog wee/poo up in the house with bleach as the smell of bleach encourages them to do it again on the same spot. If cats are the same, then surely you've just put a big banner saying 's**t here' on your soil?0

You could try putting down some wood chips and planting some lavender.The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0
