I don't see any nasty remarks on this thread - any opinions that have been given have been posted AFTER you described your daughter's attitude towards things and YOU are the one who uses your daughter's disability as an excuse to overindulge her.
Ok. And you are still whinging on because???????

Spending shed loads of cash doesn't make anything 'better' for them. I have 1 with cerebral palsy.. for her 11th birthday in November she is getting a few books and a few bits of Hello Kitty paraphernalia and a cake.. I got an alarm clock for my 11th birthday!
You can't play the 'my poor disabled child' card, you aren't alone or special in that you have a child with additional needs there are loads of us here whose children have disabilities.. exploiting their additional needs to justify whatever it is you are doing is way out of order.
I'd give a limb for each of mine with disabilities to be healthy and live a full life, have children and hopefully not die in their 40's.. (I'll keep my right arm please so I can feed myself).. but it doesn't work like that. You make the best of what you have been given and what matters most is that they are well adjusted happy young people.. that comes from respect and gratitude and a bit of humility not by material crap that will be discarded at the next 'upgrade'
I seriously think some counselling might benefit you to get this over compensating and guilt or whatever it is into perspective.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Your opinion. Your entitled to it.
I have agreed in this thread she gets too much.
I won't however be made to feel bad for being disabled or having a disabled child. Because some on here don't earn enough and feel inadequate.
I dare say if I were to spend my time trawling through posts I could find things to pull some of the posters on here up on.
But I'm too busy getting ready to go out to have dinner...before anyone says it..yes I'm most grateful to the tax payer for feeding us all a lovely steak dinner tonightIts all mind over matter. I don't mind and you don't matter:rotfl:0 -

What I find odd is how you characterise the situation. No-one's criticised you, or your daughter, for being disabled. Several posters have commented that they themselves have a child or children with disabilities. So is it just a psychological defence mechanism you have, in that you assign anything negative said to you, or anything you want to hear, as being some sort of attack in relation to disability.
Or, possibly, you are just trying to wind people up - hence the references to "not earning enough" when you don't earn anything, and the "steak dinners". That just seems designed to put backs up....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
I am absolutely sure that this thread is a complete wind up.:A

I care not one jot what anyone on here thinks.
I do however think that some of the nastier remarks aimed at a disabled child are a bit ott.
But I can only be glad I'm not as desperate for a few quid to be that bitter.

Trout I don't care where your money comes from, or what you do with it.
And to be honest, I don't think any of the remarks on this thread are aimed at your disabled child - I think the remarks are aimed at you, and not because of your disability, but because of your attitudes.0 -

I take it that owning your house outright is a relatively new development in your life as a month ago you posted this on another thread.Troutwrestler wrote: »Your rent isn't going up, the payment you have to make towards it is.You either pay it or find somewhere cheaper. I think that you are just trying to wind people up to be honest, I hope that is the case because the picture that you yourself have painted of your daughter is not a very nice one so I really hope that you are a troll just trying to get a reaction.1 Sealed Pot Challenge # 1480

Can't ford an iPhone? Get a better job (not nice being judged is it)
Thread has run it's course for me. I have bought her an iPhone and might I add I'm most grateful for the money..thanks.
I will leave this thread for the benefit bashes who would rather have a few extra quid than a healthy child.
You bought the iPhone today? You have spent most of your time being absolutely horrible, insensitive , self righteous and rude to everyone, wanting to wind everyone one up, I'll tell you this disabled or not disabled does not ever give you the right to post to anyone what you have been posting, you should not be allowed to post that way0 -
