Had confirmation letter from the mortgage company today in relation to the 2k over payment. Our remaining balance is £70,408 so not long at all and we'll be in the 60s which makes me feel very happy!Sealed Pot Challenge - No. 117

It's that time again!
Will be a bit of a tight one this month. Last month we chucked a couple of meals out and some shopping on the credit card that we usually just use for fuel, that's paid off now but left us shorter than usual this month - lesson learned there!
Should be okay though. Budget all sorted for the month.
Got one Christmas do close to home and I just have to pay for dinner off a set menu. Work Christmas do is miles away but free dinner and free bar  so I've allowed the cost of the cheapo B&B nearby to take advantage of that. We're having some friends down for "Pre Christmas Christmas" and will be hosting my parents, sister and brother in law for actual Christmas. The grocery spend will be a lot higher than usual! Happily Mr Delta has some overtime money towards that. Also, I've hit some targets this month which means I will be getting a bonus of £300 pre tax at the end of December so very pleased indeed with that.
Got some more Christmas presents to buy but the "Christmas Fund" account has money in for that. We just have to not lose our heads! And I need to crack on with wrapping and sending to make sure stuff goes second class.
So...all that means that there is not much OPing going on this month. Have put a tenner in the pot, will Tilly Tidy as we go along and see if I can put anything else in as well as the month goes on.

Aiming for 12 no spend days in December.

..... is when your family are asking for ideas of things you would like for Christmas you struggle to come up with ideas!
We seem to have got so used to a "stuff light" way of living that we were actually debating whether it would be acceptable to put light bulbs for our living room light on there (we decided not to!). We either have stocked up with cheap supplies of what we need or realised we never really needed it and can't bear the thought of anyone wasting money on it!
We're therefore asking for home brew ingredients, tights, socks, shower gel and a slow cooker.

B&B was slightly cheaper than expected so have transferred £2.70 to the OP pot. Every little helps.

I just love the list of Christmas gifts you want. And I do get it ... I'm struggling to think of things I would like too.....Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -

Been manic at work (and only unpaid over time - boo!) and I have frittered a bit this week on a couple cans of coke to keep me awake. I have avoided the toll bridge twice though so it's balancing out!
Forgot sister in law's anniversary so emergency card and gift purchase today - thank goodness we remembered in time!
Also my sister has just texted to say she has our mum's mothers day present (how organised is that?!) so I need to reimburse her for my share.
All a bit spendier than expected...
I like having my little confessional here - keeps me on the straight and narrow!
Right, time to check the banking then super early night. Have got an extra duvet on the bed. LovelySealed Pot Challenge - No. 117
