  • I was wonderfully frugal when I went out for lunch :A. Had a banana before setting off so I didn't order while crazed with hunger! Meant I just got a side dish ( really tasty and perfectly adequate for lunch) and a drink and spent £3.60. Means that I transferred a fiver to op pot.

Nsd today. It's really chilly tonight but still no heating on. We're all well wrapped up instead. I figure every day helps.

Just going to check online surveys and then go to bed.

Well done on the frugality! And the no heating! We've been using the wood burner - but I dont count that as it means I can dry washing and it stops the cottage getting damp! (Its an old building and not properly insulated/built and feels very damp the moment there is a lot of drizzle in the air).
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

I so wish we had a wood burner!

Also got an old house but luckily *touches wood* we only really struggle with damp in the basement where we run a dehumidifier for a bit every day. The radiator down there is miniscule so heating on or off it stays damp whatever the weather.

Mr Delta bought us some cheap slankets off Ebay so we had them on last night. I couldn't help but laugh every time I saw him because I knew I looked just as ridiculous :rotfl:

Have tidied £1 to op pot. Leaves £14 until Thursday when it is pay day. We have well stocked cupboards and fridge and all I need to buy with that is some winter boots for Small if we see any in Asda. I hear snow may be on the way in November so want to get boots now before they all vanish from the shops.

Frugal weekend is planned. Apart from the winter boots mission we're going to go to a National Trust place down there as well. Small wants to do some baking and painting too so that'll be us sorted.

Winter boots have been purchased. I have also got a lovely dress off Flea Bay for work Christmas party. £3.24 including delivery. I am delighted with my bargain!

I have transferred balance of current account except for £1 to mortgage op pot.

It's pay day on Thursday and I don't need to buy anything before then so it may as well be out of temptations way!

Weather is horrendous out there so I am cosy reading in bed (still no heating on) hoping that the roof stays put.

Thanks, I am really pleased, just hope it is as nice as it looks when it arrives. It does remind me that my Flea Bay purchases go on credit card and I need to change it to my new cash back credit card.

I'm up to 16 nsd this month which is a personal best for me. Reckon I will make it 19 or possibly 20 as nothing I need to buy this week.

Small now asleep so I'm off to snuggle in my slanket and watch a movie with Mr Delta. Who says I'm not rock and roll?! :rotfl:

Last night was the first night that it has felt properly hardcore to have no heating on. It was freezing!

Happily dancing in the kitchen, fleecy PJs and scrubbing the bathroom warmed us all up.
