have found your diary...love the if we pay £300 its really x 3 and so you thinking about paying 3 x as much for everything. What a fab fab fab way to look at spending.
Looking at this way I decided the huge bunch of flowers at £1.50 would still have been worth £4.50 as they are bringing me so much pleasure ... but...no longer will I buy supermarket flowers.
Yep ... thats definately an idea I am going to be borrowing and using as I strive to get my own mortgage down.
Love it... ThanksMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Thanks Watty
I managed to get the go ahead for a bit of overtime so next payday should have an extra £75 for the over payment pot.
Doing some organising as well. Opening Small a new savings account where she will receive 6% instead of a poxy 0.5%. Getting Mr Delta a card for the cash back account as well to make the most of that. Managing to be frugal too and today was NSD 6 for the month. So far so good.Sealed Pot Challenge - No. 117

The bad news is that weekend plans have fallen through (friend's house move putting spanner in the works). Really disappointing. Silver lining is that I have transferred the £30 I had budgeted for admission and lunch into overpayment pot. I have transferred in a few other bits and pieces over the month as well and now just need another £45 before being able to reduce the term by another month.
Happy weekend everyone!Sealed Pot Challenge - No. 117

Was supposed to be meeting old work mate to admire her new baby today. Had planned to go for lunch, my treat, but she has just texted and asked if she can come over instead of meeting out. We'll have a longer and more relaxed time and the £20 I had set aside can go to the repayment pot :j

I am now only £5 away from being able to get another month off the mortgage term! I had budgeted to get my sister-in-law an anniversary present but Mr Delta astounded me by already having it sorted so that money has been transferred to the pot.
I am very tempted to chuck the fiver in now but that might come back to haunt me later in the month so sitting tight for now.....Sealed Pot Challenge - No. 117

Mr Delta's extra frugal grocery shop means we have made another over payment and taken another month off the term.

Back in August I set myself the target of reducing the mortgage term by 2 months by the end of the year and it's done!
New target = shaving another month off by the end of the year. May be tight as lots of family birthdays in November and then December with it's financial challenges but I feel determined. *grits teeth*Sealed Pot Challenge - No. 117

Bit slow at the moment but plugging away with Tilly Tidying and a few online surveys. Out for lunch tomorrow and must be frugal! Not much else to do prior to pay day at the end of the month.
