Or just stomp round and throw the stereo in the pool? ;)
    That would be bad manners.

It seems like the sunny weather brings out the noisies, my usually quiet area has been filled with screams from kids and adults and loud music since Saturday. Folks in my neighbours house 5 doors away away jump on the tramploine, drink wine loudly! (no I don;t hear them actually swallow the wine, I hear the volume of their noise increase in proportion to the volume of wine they drink) and play music till 11pm (inc schooldays) then at 5am the toddler twins in the house next to me get up and come straight into the garden to play/scream/chuck a temper - LOUDLY!- which sets off the dog next to them.......

I suspect my neighbours with the kiddies are hoping to wake my neighbours with the trampoline and music - and the rest of us are stuck in the middle! Earplugs are useless in the heat - they make the inside of your ears sweaty.

For what its worth its making my boss happy cos the only place I can get some peace at the moment is in my office at work! Cue some unpaid overtime. When I am at home I smile to myself and thank the universe that so many people are having a good time - I try to send them good karmic wishes... seems to be the only way to put up with it at the moment.

Just wanted to canvas opinion about a situation...

In the nice weather, the neighbours behind our garden put music on in their garden. It's during the day, but recently it's been every Saturday and Sunday from around 11am to 6pm.

Other than that, it's a really peaceful area.

For me, it makes my garden unusable. I like to relax and read in the garden and I can't concentrate with their music playing.
Get a large amplifier and play your music in your garden.Every time they turn theirs up, you go higher, maybe a bit of Cliff, or Rammstein.
And of course you could leave it on when you're out.

Try playing "Heartbreaker" by Led Zeppelin or Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" a few times.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

I'm sure my elderly next-door neighbour would love a bit of Rammstein. :D

Nah - the first album by The Clash would shift everything within earshot.

    Who is/are Rammstein? :o

with all due respect to posters with different opinions, I do not agree that you will be unable to approach this situation as official noise nuisance.

I say this because I once had to complain about music from neighbours and was advised from Leicester council that hearing a hair dryer or Hoover through walls could be logged as official noise nuisance.

I would suggest that should you wish to go official with this double check with the council in your area and then act accordingly.

Just lean over the fence and shout "Turn that f*****g racket off or I will burn your house down". Should get some sort of reaction and take it from there.

One that would get you arrested for making threats to kill? and probably charged with a public order offence?

and that's the upside of getting a blackeye?
