I was there, it sucked, and for a marketing company, these people need to learn some communication skills.Debt £5600 all 0%0

Why are MSE describing it as a £169.99 toothbrush and talking up its value? It blatantly doesn't cost anywhere near that to buy. It's half that price at Boots and you can get it cheaper elsewhere.
MSE is supposed to be a consumer website; report the facts instead of reeling off a press release from Colgate.0 -
I can see Argos doing a good trade in their £8 rechargeable brushes for a trade-in, though the new T&C seem to imply you don't actually need to trade something in.

What I don't understand is the part where it says 'Post your old toothbrush and expect a new one within 28 days'
I'd have to go out and buy one for the period in between. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
So this part of Clause 5 T&C states that you don't actually need to send in an electric toothbrush???
"If an applicant does not wish to recycle their old brush, they will still be eligible to receive a Colgate® ProClinical® A1500 brush."0 -
At least now its available to people outside London!0

Glad I saw that I don't actually have to send my old brush
It's DAFT that they expect people to go without a toothbrush for more than 28 days whilst waiting for the new one to arrive.
Seems like it's all hype.

Will be interesting to see if that kind of corporate loyalty by Colgate-Palmolive to its customers, is shown here. . .
I'm willing to bet that a fair portion of the people queuing weren't Colgate customers, instead just people who wanted a free toothbrush to flog on eBay.urs sinserly,

Busy commuter railway stations at rush hour are usually popular for companies who have promotions to offer and Network Rail (who own and manage the major stations in Britain) must allow companies to run their promotions there at peak times.
Notwork Fail (Aka Network Rail) do not HAVE to allow companies to run promotions on their stations. NeR do this because they get lots of lovely extra retail income which they can then claim they haven't sponged the tax payer for.
All those shops you see on stations? They have to pay a minimum rent each quarter AND a levy on any profits (normally around 5-10%) to NeR. Some shops, e.g. the Starbucks (Franchised to SSP UK) on Reading Station have guaranteed a minimum rental income of £1m for exclusivity.
The majority of shops on stations e.g. BK, Upper Crust, Pastie Shop, Millies Cookies, Ben&Jerrys, Ritazza, Whistlestop, Camden Food, Starbucks are all owned by one operator. SSP UK.
Anyway. I have seen major chaos happen at one of NeR run stations in London in the past and this time NeR didnt stop it. It resulted in serious injury due to crushing to several members of the public. This is why I believe that NeR are not allowing to happen again. It may also be that the Risk Assessments need to be reassessed for them to reappear.Ex-Employee of a Train Operating Company.

I have filled in the contact us form available at the bottom of promo webpage and sent the following message:
AS A UK RESIDENT FOR 54 YEARS SINCE BIRTH I GREATLY RESENT BEING EXCLUDED FROM THE BIG ELECTRIC BRUSH SWAP JUST BECAUSE I LIVE IN N. IRELAND (WHICH IS PART OF UK). IF THIS RIDICULOUS AND DISCRIMINATORY EXCLUSION IS NOT REMOVED BEFORE THE PROMOTION END DATE OF 20 JULY I SHALL NO LONGER BE BUYING ANY COLGATE PALMOLIVE PRODUCTS INCLUDING HILLS (WE HAVE PETS).
Perhaps if enough other UK residents being excluded simply by their postcode sent the same or similar message to the company it will remove this ridiculous exclusion.
I mean it's easy enough to get round - just use a friend's address on the "mainland" (now there's an emotive word) and get them to post the brush over in the unlikely event of getting one. But that's not the point.........0
