Good morning red, kerri and Jeferey

red - enjoy your holiday, you need a nice change of scene as you have had a rough six months with your knee problems. A month in France does sound wonderful, are you driving around a bit or staying in one place and just doing day trips. Either way sounds like you will have a great time.

kerri - it takes time to get used to a new house but it seems yours is coming along nicely. You could have potato's growing in big tubs and strawberries in pots as well. Easy to look after too while you make your mind up how you want the garden. Even grow tomato's on windowsills maybe. My knee brace is very elasticated and even when we put it on tight, my ds helps me, it feels ok but the moment I stand up it goes down a little and when I walk it slowly works its way down my leg until the knee bit is mid calf so useless. The physio has made me an appt with the orthotist again but it will take about a month to come through she said. Just got to be patient. I googled the problem and I am not the only one this happens too, its quite common tbh.

Jeferey - Have a nice visit with your mum. She will need lots of support atm as she will feel a bit lost without your dad but the old saying does apply, time is a great healer. Glad she has you to help her.

The weather seems to be better today, we have had days of rain and its been miserable. We have twice had to have the heating on, including last night, as I was freezing.

Take care everyone and hope the weather improves so we can do the garden, the grass needs mowing badly atm.

Good morning red, kerri and Jeferey

We have had rain nearly every day for a week or two now. Such a change from the lovely May we had. Its grey and miserable again today and we will more than likely get rain later.

The physio asked the Orthotist to make me an appt, its in three weeks time so don;t know what he will do re the knee brace. He had wrote on my patient files the brace was a good fit. It is until I try to walk and it slowly goes lower and lower.

((hugs)) to everyone in need of one.

    Morning kerri, red and Jeferey

Wow, can;t believe its a week since I last posted. Time flies by and we are nearly in August.

Going to see the orthotist again next week, hope he can help give me a better brace. I was wearing my current brace yesterday when we went out for breakfast with family and got terrible cramp in my thigh, sure it was from the brace. I looked really stupid taking the brace off in the middle of the restaurant. lol. But it had to be done and I had to stand up holding onto the table trying not to grown too loud with the pain. lol.

Well summer is here, don;t know how long it will last though. Its was so hot last night and today is going to be even hotter and then some thunderstorms to cool us down.

    Hope everyone is well.

    Morning red, kerri and Jeferey

What a scorcher yesterday, so hot my washing dried in a hour and got a 2nd load on the line. Too hot for housework though so had an easy day apart from the laundry. It was supposed to rain but the thunderstorm never happened. Were now supposed to have a thunderstorm today and we really need it to clear the air and to water the plants.

Hope you all make sure you have plenty to drink with you when you go out.

    Keep hydrated and safe guys

hope tour all well and not collapsed from heat exhaustion. lol.

What a hot few days we have had, but its cooled down a bit today so much better, can breathe easier anyway.

Going for more physio in a bit, got a 9 am appointment and then off shopping.

I see the orthotist next week to get my brace changed (hopefully) Had a bad experience with the brace the other day. Was out with family for a meal and suddenly got a cramp in my thigh in my bad leg and had to take the brace off in the middle of the restaurant. lol. I was in agony and had to stand up while everyone was eating and keep rubbing my leg. I must have looked so stupid standing there unstrapping this huge knee brace but tough, it had to be done. lol.

    Well, take care guys

    Afternoon all.

Back in UK now and trying to get up to date with usual mundane things like washing & shopping. Drizzle here this morning but now really sunny and rather humid.

CW You are really having a bad time with that knee brace. You should have bowed to everyone in the restaurant when you finished your performance - perhaps you would have received a round of applause! Make sure you really explain all the problems you are having at your appointment - there must be something better they can offer you.

Jeferey - Hope everyone is coping well & adjusting to life without your Dad.

Kerri - How is everything in your world? Hope you have had time to sit in your new garden rather than keep working on it.

Enjoying my two weeks off, taking FD to Legoland for a couple of days next week.
Been busy at the allotment, lots of watering and weeding. Pumpkins are ballooning!
