Well, talking of exercising, Saturday morning I set off at 07:00 and managed 50.1 miles on my bike in under 3 hours - my best yet. Then in the afternoon I spent a few hours digging up the last of the potatoes and cropping sweetcorn, butternut squash, beetroot and courgettes with FD. Then yesterday we went to Hardwick Hall with the dog and took her for a 6 mile walk around the grounds, phew! In the afternoon spent a couple of ours relaxing on the patio in the sun, nice
, oh and cut the grass too :rotfl:
Hope you both had a great weekendIf at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0 -
Morning kerri and Jeferey
it rained almost all day yesterday for us here in the northwest. It looks a bit better today though.
Had a mad busy day yesterday, went and ordered a new bedroom carpet to come Saturday as my new wardrobes are being fitted on Thursday and Friday.
Then popped into tesco and it was a mad house of reductions on the £1 aisle. Got toothpaste for 25p, toilet rolls 6 pack for 25p. Surf soap powder for 25p, and loads more. It was like a rugby scrum with people pushing, grabbing and loading trolleys sky high. Must be clearing the £1 aisle to make way for xmas stuff.
Hope you both have recovered from your weekend exercise. Well done on the very long bike ride Jeferey, another mammoth event.

Morning, just a quick stop in before getting back to work. It was miserable here yesterday too, rain all day.
jeferey stop showing off about all those amazing veggies - I'm very jealous
CW congrats on the bargains, sounds like you got a few bits for the stockpile.
Back at boot camp this morning, glad I had a day off yesterday. Grey and damp here atm and I don't think its going to get much better today - in fact we have weather warnings for later. Have had to put the heating on for a bit - just low but to take the chill off the air.
Got a couple of chicken carcasses defrosting as going to make stock later. Hope it works out better than the previous and only batch I made which was waaaaay too salty.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Good morning kerri and Jeferey
What a wet miserable day it is. We have a weather warning in place for heavy rain and the weatherman got it right. My back garden is a bit flooded but at least its only the garden as some houses a few miles away are flooded knee high according to the Fire Brigade. And its still raining.............so goodness knows how people will get their houses dried out.
Tomorrows weather is a bit better and Fridays better still so hopefully my garden will drain off by then.
Take care guys

Thanks CW
Afternoon to you both
It was a horrible day yesterday, torrential rain at times, drain covers popped in places, rubbish traffic, flooding under some bridges, etc.
Apparently even our back garden was under an inch of water, drained away reasonably quickly though so I must have got the drainage right with the new design.
Not nice weather here again, take care out there. If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0 -

Good morning kerri and Jeferey
We had rain till mid afternoon yesterday but it did brighten up after that.
Got the quote for my new bathroom and I won;t be having the work done by them, it was for, wait for it.................£9K.
£9000 to redo a bathroom and that didn;t even include a new bath and panels or things like towel rails, a mirror etc. Can;t believe this shop is so busy, they are taking bookings now for the end of February. Was so shocked so now have to have a rethink about this.
