Good afternoon kerri and Jeferey
Your both brave tacking 1/2 marathons and long bike rides. I much prefer the comfort of my lounge unfortunately.
Its cold and miserable here atm, it was raining earlier which is easier for my son as it saves him watering the new lawn.
Got some pansies yesterday from tesco. In pots and reduced from £1.50 to 15p each so we got them in yesterday afternoon. Put some in tubs and some in the garden.

Brilliant saving CW
We had a great weekend, DD2 came back Friday afternoon as she'd forgotten hairdryer and some other stuff but it worked out well as it was FD's birthday on Thursday so I took DD2, FD and 2 of her friends to play laser tag and then meet DW at pub for birthday lunch
Weather was good this weekend, managed to cut the grass and sit out on new patio catching a few rays.
Did a 32 mile bile ride early Sunday morning and then FIL & MIL came to ours for lunch. Then we took DD2 back to Uni digs with another boot-full of stuff before calling in on way home at Boundary Mills - DW likes Yankee Candles and they have them there at a good discount.
Back to work today and it's raining. If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0 -
Good morning kerri and Jeferey
well another wet day today, its been raining since I woke up and its still raining. Still it saves watering the garden. All my new plants seem ok atm and the new turf is defo growing.
Just made some chocolate chip muffins while my dh and ds painted the doors on the landing. Hate going near paint as I always get it on me.
Hope your both ok

Hi Jeferey
seems we both posted more or less together. xx
Sounds like you went from a lovely relaxing time on the patio to a mad cycle ride. Does your DD2 like Uni. Bet she liked coming home for some home cooking as well.

Evening All! Yesterday was just lovely wasn't it - in fact the weekend was lovely. My tomatoes seem to have given me a last min wee glut so they are in the fridge. Spent about 4-5hrs in the garden pruning some bits yesterday (2 x trips to the tip) - OH isn't sure he likes the bushes cut that far back but I said they'll grow back and it will mean I don't have to do them again any time soon. Got the front and back garden to tackle before Winter.
One of my runner plants went to the great compost heap in the sky and the other will follow soon I think. Need to get the shed tidied out for winter too - its a tip.
Expect it was nice to see your DD2 Jeferey, and well done on the plants CW - you've given me a mind to plant up some pots with winter colour now. My primroses that I planted this spring are still going in the boarders - flowering again, thought they'd be done by now.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Good morning kerri and Jeferey
Stopped raining now and the sun is coming out, hope it dries the garden a bit so I can walk on it, too boggy atm. But we need to tidy up the garden for winter as well kerri.
Had someone come and measure if the bathroom yesterday. He said most new bathrooms cost £5500 - £8500 if no more. yikes. Don;t want to pay that much.

Wow CW - eckyspensive! - We haven't had one for a while, good job really as we have a downstairs toilet a bathroom and an en-suite.
Kerri - it's definitely getting to the end of the season for outdoor crops, I need to get a load of sweetcorn from the allotment and get it frozen or eatenplus the butternut squashes and pumpkins are nearly ready. I also need to dig up the rest of the spuds and get them in storage to see us through the winter. The toms in the greenhouse are still producing well though, I eat some every day
Yes it was lovely to see DD2 again, it may be a little while before she comes back next time.
Lovely day here too, looking forward to a walk at lunchtime.....If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0 -

Morning kerri and Jeferey
so I have been awol. I am full of a cold and feeling rotten. Had it for a few days and not sure if its a cold or flu but whatever it is I want it gone. Aching bones are awful, so are the dizzy spells, so I have spent a lot of time in bed swallowing paracetamol and wishing it gone.
Still feel so grotty I am as weak as a kitten. Sorry to moan at you guys.
All those nice fresh veg and good for your health and your pocket so make the most of them before winter sets in.
Hope your both ok

Morning CW - sorry to hear you've been poorly, hope you feel better soon.......
Morning to Kerri
DW is doing a MacMillan coffee morning at our house this morning, hopefully she's raise quite a few quid for a good cause.
I'm having to stay over at work for a couple hours or so today instead of usual 12:00 finish on a Friday as it's annual stock check time. At least they buy us all a sandwich for lunchIf at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0
