Good morning CW and Kerri . DW did 5k Race for Life yesterday (in memory of one of DAIL's) but it was a walk as one of ladies she was with has had a double hip replacement! Raised £200
We had rain overnight but sunny now. Supposed to rain this afternoon - boo!

Evening all! Well done on DW doing the 5k yesterday (and to the lady with the double hip replacement).

Was raining hard overnight here, stopped pretty much long enough for us to do boot camp this morning (isn't mother nature considerate) then rained pretty much until lunchtime. I was going to put some washing in but decided just to leave it until tomorrow and get a full days drying.

Well done to your DW doing the 5k race for life, Jeferey. I bet the DAIL was watching the whole thing and smiling.

We had rain all day yesterday but today we have sunshine. Looks like it will be a nice day today so will have to chech out the lawn to see if its not to wet to mow.

I managed to mow the lawn Sunday morning - thank goodness!
Funnily enough after yesterday's rain I don't think I need to water at the allotment

No one likes a show off jeferey they do look good though. I keep thinking mine are behind, I did plant them quite late but I guess they're slower as they've been outside.

Dry but cloudy here atm, got a wash in to get out, and might even squeeze another on the airer if I'm lucky.

Off to get more tiling supplies later, had the bath panel off last night and relieved that everything seems dry and sound under it. I think the grout initally cracked from a previous issue which we managed to resolve and obv the water behind it from the shower made it worse. Still not sure what the mesh behind was though - even the plumber i spoke to thinks that was odd.

Popped up to allotment last night with DW, DD2 and FD for a strawberry picking session. They are coming thick and fast now - we got over 4 kilos!


DW also got some sweet peas and rhubarb.

Wow, Jeferey, wow, thats a huge crop of strawberries, especially as some probably got eaten while you and your "assistants" picked. Are you going to eat them fresh or make something with them.

And your toms are coming along nicely too. You certainly have green fingers. lol.


kerri, I am sure your toms will catch up with Jeferey's toms later on, they could be a different type.


My dh and ds managed to do some of the fences yesterday, still a lot more to paint with cuprinol so they will try and do some more today as long as it stays dry that is.


Got to go to the shops later, my kettle conked yesterday and I love a cuppa so need it replacing asap.

Thanks CW, we're all eating them fresh and DD2 makes smoothies for her and FD as well. DW has given a punnet to a friend and I take them to work to eat at break time.
I have been known to make a drop of strawberry wine, hic!
Hopefully your DH and DS will get loads more painting done.

my dh and ds are still painting the fences but won;t get much more done today as we are due rain later. Still they got a lot done yesterday. They are nearly half way round the garden now and then need to do the pergola and decking and some trellis work.

Enjoy your strawberries Jeferey, the wine sounds nice too.

It only rained for a few minutes yesterday so my dh and ds got more fencing painted but its raining today so no work on the garden till tomorrow (hopefully).

So will be going and doing my shopping later instead.
