What a lovely day! DW was busy with pilates, coffee with friends and a haircut so 2 trips to the allotment and a 10 mile bike ride were order of the day! Then DD1 came home from a week in Portugal with bf so we had the first bbq of the year including some marvellous boiled new potatoes from the allotment.
FT coming tomorrow for the weekend. Should be last one as she's moving to her forever home soon

Weather changed today, cloudy and grey and might have some rain this afternoon. Sounds like your toms need some water anyway kerri.

Awwww, that must be bittersweet jeferey Glad she's found a forever home. I would quite like to adopt but not sure OH would really be in for it.

Raining here this morning but bright and sunny here this afternoon. Toms recovered after a water last night but MUST pot out this weekend. Beans look like they're about to begin to flower - snipped most of them now they've reached the top of their canes.

Got a 5k race tomorrow and actually pretty excited about it

Hope you did well in the 5k race kerri, you will be running a marathon soon. Me, I prefer to sit and watch. lol.

Strange weather isn;t it. Sunny one minute and grey and cloudy the next. Then so windy it blows the garage door open so hard as though its going to break. We have had frost overnight but sunny again now.

Wish the weather would just settle down and be, well, summery.

Had a lovely weekend, great weather here although windy at times as you say CW. No frost here.
Took FT and dog for a walk round the Major Oak, she did over 4 miles!
She did some watering at the allotment and planted a sunflower - we'll miss her. We will probably do some support care for another FB soon but don't think we'll do another full time placement as it wouldn't be fair on FD who is staying with us long term.

Your beans sound great Kerri - my French beans aren't doing so well but peas are looking great! We know quite a few people who've adopted, lovely thing to do but can be quite a drawn out process!

OH is doing Race for Life later this month, hope your race went well Kerri.

What odd weather. it was gorgeous and sunny this morning early but as the morning wore on it got greyer and darker and cooler. Not rained just yet, but bet it does soon so everyone will get their gardens watered.

Jeferey - hope your FT loves her new life with her new mummy and daddy. Your FD will probably miss her too.

Morning all! sorry I've been AWOL for a couple of days, work been really busy - 8am - 9.30pm on Mon.

Weather is odd isn't it, one min its lovely and warm and the next its freezing, even had my thermal top on for boot camp this morning.

Sorry to hear you are having french bean problems jeferey I've got another top to snip off my runners at the top of the cane, now I just need them to concentrate on producing beans for me. Tomatoes are planted out in pots too - 4 plants are sharing two larger pots and my others are still in 'not pretty' pots but growing nicely. I might freecycle some if they all go ok but atm I'm hanging onto them in case I need some 'spares'

Obstacle race was absolutely awesome, loved it and amazed at how much of a difference I felt doing this 5k to the Race For Life Pretty Muddy 5k last year. After finding the 1/2 marathon quite tough, this really illustrated to me how far I've come in a year.

Rigged up a micro irrigation system in the greenhouse last night to try and make watering a bit easier - seems to work really well
