Thanks CW - had a few chopped up in my breakfast cereal this morning.
We're forecast a little rain but I still went to allotment last night with FD to do a bit of watering, pretty dry.
Tomorrow looks better - have a great weekend everyoneIf at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0 -
Evening all! mainly dry here today, and hot hot hot. All this gardening must be costing me a fortune on the water metre (yes, jeferey, I know you're going to suggest a water butt) Garden deff looking summery now and I have some teeny tiny beans on my runners now.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Morning CW, Kerri and everyone else
Kerri, have you ever thought about getting a water butt? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Seriously though I have 2 butts in the back garden and one round the side for the front garden. We are on a water meter too but we definitely save this way even with 5 in the house compared to old billing method.
Well done with the runner beans. It looks like my french beans have survived as they are climbing nicely now. I have pea pods too just need some actual peas in them.
Weeds - aaarrrgghhh - I weeded a bed on the allotment this weekend that had triffids growing on it. I re-discovered some carrots and beetroot when I had finished!
Gonna be HOT this week, take care in the 30+°C heat on Wednesday. If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0 -

Morning kerri and Jeferey
We are having a bit of a heatwave atm. It rained for a while on Sunday and its been hot and dry since. My dh and ds have finished painting the fences and pergola and decking now. Just want to do a bit of tidying up and its sorted.
Why are weeds always healthier than plants. We put loads of weedkiller down on Sunday on the path between flags, even on the pavement in front and they are still alive. We cut back some plants and found nettles growing in the middle of the shrubs. Now my green bin has been emptied I can refill it again.
kerri - I feel your pain. I hate silicone sealant too.
Take are if you go out in this heat guys. Take a bottle of water with you.

Morning CW and Kerri.
I won't be going for my usual 2+ mile walk at lunchtime today, 27°C forecast so I will sit and eat my sandwiches in the nearby park and enjoy a few rays
I hate silicone sealant too - I had to reseal the front of the shower recently and I always end up with it all over my fingers and thumbs after smoothing it out and it's horrible stuff to get off.If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0 -
Good morning kerri and Jeferey
What hot and sticky weather we are having atm.
Last night we had a severe storm, started off just thunder and then lightning. The lightning was the brightest I have ever seen, lighting up the sky as though it was daylight.
Then it started to rain heavily and something hit the window, I didn;t know what it was but it was loud and then hail stones came down. They were huge, bigger than marbles. I really feared for my windows and car alarms were being set off.
When it stopped my ds went outside and picked one up and brought it upstairs to show me and it was huge even then and it was melting on my sons hand.
Make sure you take plenty to drink if you go out guys.
I put some washing out yesterday morning and even the bath towels dried in half an hour.

Wow, that was hot yesterday, well over 30°C in Sheffield!
We didn't get any rain/hail or lightning CW but we might get a shower later. If it doesn't rain we'll be going to the allotment tonight to pick more strawberries and water everything.
Take careIf at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0 -
Ugh, wasn't yesterday hot - my poor little tomatoes wilted as did most of us in the heat. Barely a shower here although my friend did say one of her relatives had hail that broke greenhouse panes. Still humid but bearable today for me - the humidity is actually quite good for my skin.
Hoping to get more than a few hours sleep tonight at least.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Hope you got some sleep Kerri! Sorry about the tomatoes, hopefully you've revived them.
Finish work in just under an hour, yay! Going to sister's garden party tomorrow afternoon, 10 year anniversary and she's raising money for a Great Wall of China charity walk.
