Morning all. Got DW a soft toy monkey. It said on it be my Prime Mate :rotfl: - oh, and a bunch of tulips.

We have FB for the weekend again. She slept to 06:55 this morning, I can cope with that! It was 05:30 yesterday.

I'm off work until Wednesday :j:j

    Have a great day :D

What a change in the weather. Yesterday woke up to blue sky and sunshine (but cold) neighbours were doing a bit of gardening and putting washing on the line. But today, well, the sky is grey, its raining and its damp and cold. Can;t believe the two days are so different.

Jeferey hope your chest infection has gone now. A few days off work sounds good too. Recover from being woken up at 5.30 on Saturday. lol

Exactly the conversation I had today, yesterday I did a 9 mile run, lovely weather, and then spent 4hrs cutting some stuff back in the garden and trimming (rather more delicately) the wisteria. Was glorious, sat out with a cuppa for tea break and could feel the warmth in the sun.

Did another run this morning (just a couple of miles to stretch the muscles) and it's been raining all day

...and you'll be pleased to know I have a rest day planned tomorrow :D

    Good morning guys

Freezing today as we have had an overnight frost and everything is white, hope it warms up in a bit.

Kerri I hope you enjoy your rest day, but I bet your back out tomorrow morning. Sounds as though your really fit, running 9 miles and then 4 hours of gardening.

Good morning everyone / anyone, lol.

Cold today again but at least no frost. Stopping home today and doing some housework for a change, after I have wrapped a parcel for something I sold on ebay.

    Hope everyone is ok

Hi CW and everyone else :D

Been a busy time, had FB Friday to Sunday. Went to York Uni Monday for a look around for DD2 - it's one of the 4 places she has an offer from. Popped into York on the bus for a look around, used DD2's NUS card for 40% off food and drink at Pizza Express - lovely.
Yesterday went to a local National Trust park in the morning and then spent a bit of time in the garden. My neighbour helped me barrow 4.5 tons of aggregate through the garage and utility (no other way to get it there) to where our new seating area will be. Still got to pick the paving for it but should be ready in plenty of time for warmer weather!
Back to work today but a nice short week :)

I'm not sure 'fit' is the right word :rotfl: More rest days than planned as friend couldn't make a run this morning - am thinking of doing a BMF session at the weekend but we shall see.

OH was off today and replaced a board at the back of the pond area (board that was there was rotten so wood and soil washing down into the pond) - looks good, should stop the landslide and now 'just' the slate to do round it. Got the materials last year just didn't get around to doing it all. Will be nice to get it finished in the spring.

Jeferey, here's a Q for you - we have a large (prob 20yr old) rosemary bush prob 3 - 4 ft high but a lot of it is long woody stems (think rosemary lollipop bush) How far back do you think we could 'prune' it? It's really becoming overbearing as it is but I don't want to just dig it up for the sake of it - I like using the rosemary its just somewhat unwieldy at the moment (think Rosemary obalisc :rotfl:)

    Good morning guys

We are decorating our DS bedroom atm. We emptied it, which was a nightmare of dvd's, computer wires etc never mind the bed. Where do people put stuff when they empty a room to decorate. We are replacing the skirting boards and architrave as well. Found a patch of dampin the corner of the room, looks like caused by condensation though. Got to treat that today.

Needs a few bits of plastering (with polyfilla) where the plaster has broken/cracked badly. Thats the thing with older houses, always jobs to do.

This is gonna take ages at the speed we normally go.

    Hope everyone is well.

Hmmm, with it being so well established I think I would do it in stages. If you try and imaging the size you ultimately want it to be I would prune about a third of it in the spring, wait a couple of months, do another third then wait again and finish the job otherwise it could be too much of a shock for the old dear ;)
Make sure whatever you prune it with is sharp so you get a clean cut - less prone to diseases then. Good luck :D

CW, unless we are doing the floor (carpet, etc.) we tend to just move stuff to the middle of the room and work round it! Such a pain shifting stuff in and out. I have put a wardrobe on the landing before though.

    Morning all :D
