    Good morning everyone.

Went to tesco yesterday and didn;t get any bargains, quite disappointed. Asked a nice man filling shelves for a couple of cardboard boxes to put xmas pressies in. Got to start wrapping soon as need to post a few of them.

    Good morning guys

Had a bit of a shock yesterday evening as someone tried to burgle us while we were in. We were lucky as a neighbour spotted someone down the side of our house near the garage, when the "thief" realised he had been spotted he ran and jumped in a car and shot off. Luckily the neighbour got the number plate of the car so the police are on the look out for him.

So a little reminder guys, make sure your garage, shed, gate etc are all secure, try anything to deter the thieves that are extra busy at this time of year.

    take care

Morning CW - That must have been a bad experience last night. Hope you are not too shaken by it.
We learnt our lesson the hard way some years back as we always left our garage door open - it is set back so we thought it would be OK!Result was the freezer was emptied and various other tools and bits were taken. A neighbour up the road had his golf clubs taken at the same time. So even living in a quiet cul-de-sac isn't secure.
I think most of us get a bit complacent over time and need to re-assess our security regularly.

Lucky break there CW. Good advice red! :D

Neighbour has been back yesterday and today. He's even been and fetched some more hardcore and cement as we'd run out. He said if we'd dug it any deeper we could have nade a bunker :rotfl:.
Just had confirmation text through that greenhouse is coming in less than 3 weeks so need to get cracking, got fences to repair and paint too.

    Good morning guys

The police called and said the numbe plate on the thievin gits car was false. Its the number plate of a Range Rover Discovery and this car was definately not a Range Rover. So no leads now so he won;t get caught. Ratbag.

We are a bit paranoid now, keep checking outside and left the outside lights on permanent again last night. I keep telling myself he won;t come back though so hope the paranoia fades soon.

Glad to see your labourer, sorry neighbour:rotfl: is working hard on your greenhouse etc. Its great to have such a nice neighbour.
A bunker would have come in handy to hide your stash too.:rotfl:

Lol, he was back again today! DD1 has bought a new (13) car today, I took her to collect it and she's off to Meadowhell tonight in it. Insurance not ridiculous at under £600  but much better than some of her friends and road tax only £20.

    Good morning guys

Bet your DD1 loves her new car Jeferey, she is gonna be out and about all the time in it. That insurance quote sounds good too and the low road tax is even better.

And even better you won;t have to keep running her around now so more time to spend at the allotment/garden etc. lol.
