Kerri those working hours are gonna kill you, can't you cut back a bit or you;ll have no life at home.

    Afternoon all.

Wow they were good bargains CW - don't reduce damaged cartons to that sort of price round here.

Agree with you about the cold weather & even worse when it is wet as well. We had a real downpour this morning as I was driving to a bowls match but it brightened up after lunch.

We got that downpour too, the sky went almost black and then it rained so heavily and it was windy with it, a proper storm.

Tesco reductions can vary. I suspect there are a couple of different people do them as some things get reduced by 10p or 20p and then others are really great ones. I saw some of the multi packs of crisps reduced by 10p well I ignore those but other multipacks of crisps were reduced to 32p, I checked they all had the 6 packs in so a bargain. The cereals were a bargain and the laundry stuff.

The reductions in the small Asda near work are paltry, like £5 down to £4.40 but the one near home is better, we got a Piri Piri spatchcock chicken for about £2 off - it was lovely too :)

Good news on the cough CW.
Yeah Kerri, listen to CW - work less lol. Hope you're getting overtime!

    Morning everyone :D

Morning all - I'm off this morning to a Muffin & Coffee fundraising morning. My friend makes the muffins which are absolutely delicious so shouldn't need any lunch today.

Kerri you sound like my daughter with the hours you work (but not the exercise bit!). Do watch your stress levels as my daughter had to be taken off the flight at Heathrow when they arrived from Chicago & whipped to the hospital as she had chest pains. She is regularly under stress with her work but luckily this problem turned out to just be a digestion problem. Ruined her planned holiday though as she had to have an MRI to ensure there wasn't an underlying cause and then wait for the result.
  • Good morning guys

What a wet and miserable day it is. These dark mornings are confusing me, didn;t realise it was gone 9 as its so dark.

    Hope your all well.

Sometimes reductions in stores are useless. When I got that stuff the other day someone had reduced a few packets of crisps. They knocked 10p off a multipack of crisps. so didn;t get them, yet someone else had reduced other packs of crisps by loads to 30-40p a pack. Must depend if a normal SA does the reductions or a trout.:rotfl::rotfl:.

One time I went in asda and the reduced shelf was empty but to leave I had to walk down the chicken aisle and a SA was reducting a whole chicken and a few trays of chicken breasts to 20p each, I got them all.:j

Good morning CW & everyone else. Doesn't it feel good when you get real bargains?

I agree with you CW - hate these dark and very wet mornings - everything looks so dismal.

Our coffee morning yesterday was a great success which helps boost our charity fund.

My husband has his Captain's dinner tonight at his golf club so will need to glam up later. Hope the rain stops as promised as I don't really like the drive too much through the country lanes which are prone to flooding.

Good morning red and everyone else.

We got torrential rain yesterday morning and very windy too. It was so noisy, I was in tesco at the time. The rain was making a right racket on tesco metal roof. Glad I wasn;t out in it and it has caused a bit of flooding.

Hope your dh enjoyed his Captain's dinner last night red

Glad your chest infection is nearly gone CW.

jeferey overtime? if only! made up for the long hours today, not long up out of my pit after catching up with some ZZZZZZZZZZZZ's (and a few beers out last night :o)

Red sorry to hear about your daughter, glad she was ok but must've been very frightening - I will bear that in mind x

Something I meant to ask before - does anyone else sometimes get fed up with their stash? Whilst I love having a bargain and some nice stocks of things I don't need to buy for a bit, there's times when it gets right on my wick with 'stuff' always being around in places - in the loft, under the bed etc? Its all tidy but sometimes to me it just feels all cluttered still.
