Afternoon CW & anyone else lurking.


Beautiful and sunny here this afternoon - not looking forward to the forecast of rain & colder.


Been to the dentist this morning for some root canal work on a tooth. It wasn't as bad as I had expected & I was surprised to find she had been working on it for 90 minutes. Aching a bit now but better than having the horrible taste of the infection in my mouth. There will be another visit in 2 weeks to complete the work but that will be shorter.

Evening all - I meant to cut the grass, haven't done it for a fortnight! Wonder if I'll get a chance tomorrow morning. Off to the cinema in the afternoon - seemed like a good idea on a rainy day

Won't tell you how long its been since I mowed ours, although not looking too long yet.

Looks like rain here tomorrow, but can't complain, Sunday is supposed to be dry. Its almost nice to spend some time indoors rather than thinking 'must be outside, make the most of the weather' - though I won't be saying that after a week of rain :eek:

Red - glad the root canal wasn't too bad - at least you're on the path to getting it sorted

Just watched Billy Connolly and David Tennant in What We Did On Our Holiday. Very enjoyable, quite funny at times too!

We rarely go either, but went to see Guardians of the Galaxy last night, used the 40% Odeon discount code. Food ended up being more than the tickets, but as a treat we both got nachos. Noticed the large Pepsi (OH got) has got smaller though, which isn't a bad thing I guess really.

Forgot to mention we got to watch the film for free . Our local cinema has a stamp card scheme so whenever anyone goes we give them the cards and get them stamped . We always our own drinks, etc.

I'm not usually fussed about a drink, if OH gets one then I have a sip of his. Sometimes I'll take my own snacks, OH likes the nachos and they're difficult take yourself. We don't go often enough that I begrudge a couple of snacks as a treat.
