I need a new computer.

If possible, there's one other thing I would like to do with my computer. It makes so much noise. The noise is obviously coming from the fans and mostly from the CPU fan at the best of times but goes into over-drive when the weather gets a little hotter. Is it possible for me to improve by getting a better fan or fans etc? Thanks.
Have you cleared and cleaned them off all dust and blockages?0 -
Yes. As best I can and they do look quite clean.0

Cleaning is your best option, especially if it wasn't as noisy when you first got it.
a can of compressed air is the best thing to use.
for the CPU you might need to replace both the fan and heatsink to something better to reduce the noise.
does your pc have a dedicated GPU, and does that make much noise?0 -
I believe it's an integrated graphics card ' SiS 661FX '. It's been noisy since I first got it but I didn't get it from new.0

OK I'll firstly buy a high pressure can and see if that improves matters.0

a minute surface layer of dust on a heatsink doesn't stop it working as a heatsink and doesn't stop a fan cooling - a £5 can of air is a waste of money, if someone is incapable of blowing without spitting, they could always wrap a piece of toilet paper around their mouth first or get a footpump out of the boot.!!

Ditch windows & start using a Linux OS they aren't as demandings Windows and you will see an improvement.
I'm due to install Ubuntu on an old machine this weekend0
