    It increases UKIPs numbers.

    Temporarily.

    Until the next election.

When the conservative voters back the new conservative candidates.

And in the meantime, UKIP have no more or less of a chance of getting anything done in reality, as a tiny minority becomes a slightly less tiny minority.

Lol - it's gone way past that.

Funny how many of UKIP's policies are now on the lips of both major parties, most notably immigration, with Tory's promising a crackdown and Labour whining that they got it wrong. Obviously they're having more of an impact than you like to believe.

You'll literally say anything regadless of how ridiculous what you are saying is, won't you!

Minority? This is the minority party that, for the first time in the history of TV, created a situation where there were 4 main parties instead of 3.

    That minority?

The minority you will do everything, and say anything, no mater how stupid it makes you look, no matter what false malicious rumours you are required to spread, to make them look silly?

    That minority?

The minoryt which took over 20% of the vote at the local elections?

    That minority?

Just wanted to make sure were clear on what you claim is a minority. Afterall, it could be used the next time you claim one of your polls based on much lower numbers that this is the start of the new coming, as it fits your viewpoint.

    What the?

    4 main parties?

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

There are two main parties, and whoever else wants to be the Token Protest Vote Magnet.

The TPVM in the last GE was the Lib Dems. 15-20 years before that it was the SDP. Before that the Greens. And the Liberals. etc

It's currently the kippers, in local and probably Euro elections anyway, but that support will melt away at the GE. When the serious people come out to play.;)

Laugh all you like. This is how the media, and in this case, the FT report it.

UKIP surge brings four-party politics to Britain

The SDP/Liberal alliance scored 50% in the opinion polls just two years before the election, and got 25% of the vote at a GE.

"Go back to your constituencies, and prepare for government!" said David Steel.

The media were in a frenzy at the time.

    But now we all say......

    Who?

First up, we've got the Euro elections in 2014. There'll (probably) be a low turnout and, because of motivated Ukip voters and the (much fairer in my opinion) PR system, I expect a significant No. of Ukip MEPs to be returned. It could be that the agenda for the GE is thus shifted towards Ukip territory. Then who knows what could happen.

BTW. On the radio this morning I heard that the unit price for electricity in France is 9 pence per kilowatt hour whilst in the UK it is more than double that at 19 pence per kilowatt hour.
Imagine the boost to the economy if electricity prices were halved!
I would genuinely like to hear people's opinions on this.

    A likely outcome.

Latest poll out today shows UKIP support has fallen away rapidly, and the Tories have been the big winners.

    CON 36%, LAB 36%, LD 13%, UKIP 7%.

Amazing what a bit of sunshine and a few good-news stories can do to decimate protest party votes. ;)
