The London Borough of Lambeth don't take Amex despite telling me they accept all cards, I know because I tried to pay the release fee after my car had been illegally towed to their pound.

Sainsbury & Tesco take Amex though.

Would anyone know if inland revenue would take amex to pay my tax bill due end of Jan?
    They do say here http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/howtopay/menu.htm
that they accept debit card payments but not credit card payments.

I know amex is not a credit card, but I would imagine thay HMRC do not accept amex.
  • Tried using it at Lakeland this week and they DO NOT take Amex.
  • YEAH! give me some slack mate! only giving my input, if you knew it already, just overlook it and move on! sarcy comments aren't appreciated anywhere
  • I've had an Amex card for nearly a year now but have given up on it,hardly anyone takes it,a total waste of time.

I have a Morgan Stanley Mastercard cash back card for about the same time and have spent over £15K on it which has accumulated about £220 in cash back however I only managed to spend £1500 on the Amex before giving up with it,Amex' loss.

I run my own business BTW.
