SARAH!
We missed you!
Sounds like you *may* be getting thru to him...Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
Yay progress. Sounds like spending £60 on the CC was a worthwhile investment to get through to him.
Lol at him thinking that its that easy to just hop onto the housing ladder. Most lenders ask to see proof of the deposit and want to know where it has come from and that its not a loan thats just suddenly appeared.
You're with a private landlord presumably? Might be worth just scouring the property papers to make sure that what your paying is in line with other similar houses for your area. Would you consider moving out of town or even to a cheaper area of town, to get more space for your money. A re you planning more kids? Is that whats sparked the interest in getting somewhere bigger.0 -

Hiya Sassamac..... must go catch up with ur diary in a mo!
Yes we are private, and below the average for round here..... we were very luck that we just spotted this in the local paper and moved in a week after we viewed. Our LL had a string of bad tenants, so I think they just wanted to someone to stay for a while (we've been here for two years) Our original tenacy has lapsed, but we intend to stay here now until we can afford to buy (which will be a few years yet!). We would move further out of town, but we are surrounded by villages that are more expensive than here, and OH isn't driving atm and I don't fancy taking him into work at 2100 every night then picking him up at 0700 (esp as I work full time too!)

OMG!!! I have just had the biggest fright OF MY LIFE!!! I walked upstairs to run the bath for DS, leaving him playing on the floor..... I heard some tapping on the stairs, and put my head round the corner of the door, expecting to see him tapping in the bottom step........ to see him THREE STEPS FROM THE TOP!!!!
I have never moved so quick in my life, grabbing him by his arm to pull him up the stairs..... needless to say, tomorrow morning, I will be going out to buy another stair gate.... My heart is racing and I feel sick again just thinking about it!!!'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0 -
Went to buy a stair gate, but couldn't find one that fits across the bottom of our stairs (it is wide and an odd shape) so I will have to see if the one we already have fits it....
Been shopping in Next sale this morning, spent £78 but had £45 in giftcards from my birthday, so not too bad.... I do feel a bit guilty because I didn't even look at kiddies clothes for DS, I just did 'me' shopping... Also treated myself to some gorgeous Sanctuary body lotions in Boots, thanks to the lovely MSE'r who sent me the voucher - u know whou are! x
Got the water bill this morning, and we are still in credit by £60+ despite only paying £5pm for the last 6 months.... needless to say they will be getting a call on Monday!'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0 -
Sarah  @ C. I would have been shocked too, can he walk then or just crawl? However he seems to have mastered the stairs
Glad you have hd a lovely time shopping. Dont feel guilty though some me shopping is called for sometimes. Also seeing as its in their sale and you had vouchers you havent spent that much compared to the cash you handed over and the rrp of all the items put together have you. Very mse.
That water bill is crazy, ummm definately call them up, that cash would be better in your pocket.
Have a great day xx0 -
Thanks hun...... C's crawling atm, but can walk round the funiture, and has got one of those push-along walkers that he can use as well.... I think he must have followed me as soon as my back was turned! Scary stuff tho!!!'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0

Loan payment came out today, taking £223.25 off my debt total..... put it into the snowball, and I need another £228 to bring my DFD in line with the end of the loan..... £150 will clear from OH's bank tomorrow, plus I have £65 Quidco money I can use...that leaves another £13 which I'm sure I can scrimp from somewhere......'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0
