Hey - hope DS continues to improve. My DD was fine on formula cows milk, but has only just begun to tolerate cows milk now (and she's 5). She went onto goats milk then lactofree cows milk, but she still gets a dodgy stomach if she has fullfat cows milk (tends to have skimmed if we're out of her lactofree milk). DS seems to be the same, and seems to be developing an intolerance to the cows formula milk so might be time to start swapping him - eeek!

Might be worth considering? Btw the HV told me I was wrong. I persisted and it was the only thing that could be the problem.

similarly random fact - your liver has 500 odd functions. While its digesting alcohol its not performing the other 499!
  • Can't believe its been so long since I posted..... have been lurking, but haven't had time to post properly......

Just made a payment of £47.13 off CC2 taking that to £473.68, and another payment of £1 :D off CC3 (to set up the ayment on online banking)

Tomorrow is payday for both of us - thank goodness! - so it will be money allocation day again.... Loan payment comes out on the 1st, so that'll be another £223 off the debt, plus the £150 for OH's snowball..... we are getting their slowly... I fear my OD has taken a bit of a bettering again, but won't be able to figure out how much until tomorrow..... that is the last debt to tackle, and not inc in the sig fugure yet..... (it is less than £500..... I reckon its probably gone from -£170 to -£270 ish)

Had a good chat with OH the other night.... we went out for dinner the other night (and blew £60 on the CC  but it will be paid off tomorrow, and its the first time we'd spent anytime together for nearly two weeks again - work and childcare have been getting in the way!).... he said that our house is too small ( has just spent the last 5 days at home with DS and the dog, all three stuck in because of the weather!).... He said that we can't afford to rent a bigger house (we have a two up, two down for £700pcm) and I explained to him that its that reason why I am so determined to get rid of the debt and start saving...... I explained about the housing market/credit crunch etc (he doesn't listen to the news/Martin very much!), and bless him if he didn't say 'we could just get a £10k loan for a deposit! It took me all of 5 mins to explain that yes, we could do that, but we would struggle to get a mortgage with a £10k loan under our belts...... kinda got through to him in the end....

He has agreed that our deposit is our main focus now, once the debt is gone, and that we will have a small wedding in a few years time - after all, as I explained, a mortgage is more of a commitment than a marriage, and harder to get out of!

I'm sure I will get the usual conflict from him, but for now, we seem to be pulling in the same direction..... He's not gonna take any interest in paying off the debts, but he's said he's happy for me to carry on as we are (I'm in charge, he gets pocket money) in order to get to where we want to be - he even said to stop talking about the loan, so that when it runs out in Oct, I can still keep taking the money from him and save it instead..... I tell you, I nearly fell off my chair!
