Not a very exciting day today.... have done a couple of surveys, been into town to get some more wrapping stuff for my *hopeful* ebay sales, and cooked Connor some more food to put in the frezzer.... otherwise not very exciting at all! I sat on the laptop all day until I found out my new boss wants to meet up tonight with his wife to discuss job-only OH working (extra shift) so I'm stuck at home...SO, What do I suggest??
POP ROUND TO MY PLACE! What was I thinking? Been running around like a blue-!!!!!d fly getting house tidy, dinner cooked, kids bathed etc.
(which I really should be doing now only, well, I sat down! )Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -

Hope it went well. Did you offer to cook for them too??????????CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420 -
Finally managed to get on today....... got in from work and switched pc on.... it made loads of funny noises as if something was sat on the keyboard pressing the keys..... then the damn thing wouldn't type! After tipping it up to check the cable, I realised the keyboard was full of water:eek:
Goodness only knows how that got there.... no cups on the side to knock over, and I even checked the ceiling to make sure it hadn't come from the loft! Its a mystery
Anyway, money update.... I am skint!!!! Just under two weeks left til payday, and £70 left to go..... have had to put loads of diesel in my car because of two courses I went to.... and have to wait til pay day for the expenses to come thru!
Got a statement thru from Vanquis today..... a month after they sent a letter confirming that they had closed my accountWill have to chase that on Monday, plus the Childcare Vouchers pack which still hasn't come thru, and thats been nearly 3 weeks - even I know the Royal Mail isn't that bad!
Talking of Royal Mail, I have 3 Amazons and an eBay to post on Monday.....and some things still on eBay, bids up to £11ish... which leads nicely on to....
.... The Olympic Challenge..... I have decided that I am going to use some of the money to help OH pay off his CCs..... I hate seeing a balance on the cards knowing that I have money sat in an account not really doing much.... so I am going to pay the smallest balance which is £189.56..... the real reason I am doing this is because the balance is sat on my card! BUT OH is also being pretty good at not spending too much money.... altho he did take the details to buy a pizza from Dominoes tonight.... he has had a VERY bad day, and didn't get to sleep til late - someone very close to him is not well at all, and had a life saving op last night, so he has been very emotional and worried today, so I let him off this once!
Managed to stick to my weekly spends budget which is great, and have had my second NVD in a row! :T All very moneysaving!
Think thats it, I am bl00dy freezing as OH went upstairs to sleep about 1300, leaving the back door WIDE OPEN!!!  And with these silly storage heaters, there's nothing left to give! Luckily DS had a wall heater, so that is on as it has been all winter, to keep the nursery warm enough for him - usually about 17/18 degrees...... Not looking forward to getting the next quarter elec bill tho, the heaters have been on loads, and the tumble dryer is going as I type (I have LOADS of washing to get done!)... oh well, as long as its not over £150, we should be ok.....'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0 -
Paid off the smallest balance, and OH's DFD is now Dec 08!!! Yay!!!
Something very wrong with my computer atm...... every time I press the ENTER button, it shuts down! Not good!!!'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0 -
