Well of course! You never really feel like it straight after the birth - I never did - I was wrecked any from lack of sleep, shock at being sent home with a small being and complete shock/horror at something that size coming out of something that size!! :)

  • Well after a fairly uneventful day at work today (bl00dy busy tho!), I am taking my relationship with this bottle of pink champagne into the third day..... it'll be over in a half hour tho!

Moneywise, spent £3 on food at work today, but also bought enough to keep me going for the rest of the week.... MUST MAKE SANDWICHES!!!! Gave OH £14 today too:mad: He hasn't eaten for a couple of days (not properly anyways) so he'll need to get something to eat tonight or he'll waste away! Gonna count up my change tonight too, ready for banking on Tues AM..... and also so I can put my coins in for the sealed jar challenge.

Failing miserabley on the housework challenge, so that will be the job tomorrow night...

Looking forward to the s**t storm that will be work tomorrow!

I don't think anyone has succeeded on the housework challenge this week! Oh well, won't kill us to carry it over for another few days!

Lunches - hmm, that is what I am worried about with my new job. There is a canteen which does fab cheap filling food like soup etc for £1-£2, which sounds a bargain, but of course £1-£2 a day is £5-£10 a week, which is £20-£40 a month, which is more than I can afford!

But if that is all I am worried about, it can't be tooooooo bad! Must make sure I get into the packed lunch habit right from the word go, though!

  • Thanks Hypno, I'm glad I'm not the only one..... going to try to catch up a bit tomorrow, plus I'm off on Thurs so should be able to do a bit then....
Forgot to take my lunch with me today, but didn't actually have time to stop for lunch, so it didn't matter too much....

Moneywise, the loan payment came out today, so debt reduced by £223.25, and it's payday on Friday, but somehow I'm gonna come out £170 odd short:eek: .... will have to look into that one!

Got all my change out my jar finally last night, all bagged up and ready to take to the bank in the morning, plus I have three Amazon parcels to post, so weather permitting, I'll walk up the town with the dog and DS in the pushchair..... also got 8 coins to put into my Sealed Jar..... not sure how long its gonna stay sealed tho!

Off to update sig, cook tea and veg on sofa tonight...... but no doubt I'll be back here before the end of the night!

  • My day just keeps on getting better!!! Forgot to say earlier, the big boss came in today and sh1te didn't hit the fan like I thought it would, in fact, I got complimented for my dept (well done team!!!).... our Take That tickets are confirmed, a friend has agreed to have DS for the week, my boss agreed I could have the Sun before Xmas off (OH's DS1 is over then, so thats Xmas day for us) and now I have just found a £10 in another purse whilst looking for my CC (online Xmas shopping, will be paid off as soon as it hits my acc!)

  • ummm ithink mse trying to tell me something.

Thanks for the update sarah, its nice to see a little of your debt free life. Cant help with the lunches i am affraid i live on toast in work  and i shall be watching that sealed pot hehe

take care sarah and enjoy vegging :rotfl:
  • Hey sarah, see it was a good day after all :) good news about take that ~ if only boyzone hadnt sold out *sigh*

*have taken to fast replying = no smilieys ~ mse really doesnt like me hehe*
  • Been a bit of an up-and-down day today...... found myself getting really stressed at work this morning, but I'm not entirely sure what about:confused: I am finding it increasingly hard trying to fit my schedule in around childcare/OH/MIL tho, so I think thats part of it.
Also had our Xmas dinner today (free - good job cuz I left my sandwiches at home again, afetr I made the effort yestreday to make them! )

Money wise everything has caught up online-banking wise, and it all looks pretty pants! My CC just seems to be creeping up - and pretty fast too! I've been using it as its 0% on purchases til Mar 08 and I get reward points to use against the Sky bill.... I'm *supposed* to be putting the money into the savings acc to pay it off, but for some reason the CC balance is now nearly twice that of the acc balance   I know I owe it some money for Xmas prezzies that I put on it, but thats less than £100..... so once the 7th has passed and the interest has been added to the savings, I'm transferring the lot to pay it off, then working bl00dy hard to clear the rest before the 0% finishes..... and no more using it until I can figure out a better system!! I want to use it cuz were getting at least £5 off our sky bill each month (equivilent to 1% cash back), but I need to be far more disciplined!
On a very small plus note, I have got £35 worth of change to bank tomorrow plus £80 in £2, and I have set up my Olympic challenge acc ready for next years challenge....also made a small profit on eBay, so not all bad I guess :o

    Hello Sarah!

Oh I so know that feeling of credit card bills creeping up. I'm using a CC for supermarket shopping as I get cashback but I hate the balance getting so big. as you say one never manages to save the full sum.

Still it sounds like more good things than bad in your update. That's a huge amount of change and £2 coins, well done you!

I have to say that there is a halo round my head. I had to do some searching today for something. And that led to me sorting out 3 boxes of clothes that have been sat in my office for 12 months! So now I know what is in them, and have dealt with same accordingly. I now have about 6ft square more of office than I did this morning! But the bedroom on the other hand.........

Glad that the big boss didn't have a hissy with you. And don't beat yourself up about the 0% card thingy. At least it is 0% for now.
