  • Sorry, had to disappear for 10 mins - Connor woke up so I had to let him go back to sleep before I came up.... We are a little tribe, esp with the dog too
I will make an effort to write more stuff, even if its just u that reads it!
    *mwah* (still love that!)

  • Busy day at work again today..... didn't get anything done that I needed too and the big boss is coming tomorrow:eek:

Moneywise a good day, discovered that I'd spent a £1 less than I thought over the week, so came in under budget for my weekly spends..... £9 altho I reckon at least £3 went in putting change in the jar..... talking of which, I'll be bagging that up tonight to take to the bank at some point next week, ready for the Sealed Pot Challenge starting tomorrow - sorry Pap, but I'm gonna use ur idea of counting the coins rather than the value - hope u don't mind.....?x Still gonna save the £2s separately and hope that OH takes the hint re the terramundi! The loan payment comes out tomorrow, so that'll reduce my total a bit, and listed a couple more things on eBay yesterday, so hopefully they'll do ok - altho I am bidding on two items atm (two of the same thing, and one of the items I'm selling is similar so hopefully they'll ofset each other)

OH seems to be doing ok with his Egg card atm, he's only spent about £90 so far.... not sure how long that will last tho! Luckily, he has to walk if he wants to go to the shop, as he still hasn't got his licence back after his ban, and he HATES walking - probably because he spends the whole night on his feet..... Not likely to do much online shopping as he doesn't 'agree' with it

Got to start thinking about getting the Christams prezzies together, have bought a few, but still some bits to get.... and still waiting for my photos to turn up..... where are they!?!

Might be going to see Take That at the o2 arena on Thurs...... yeah I know, but I loved them the first time round too... not quite the same without Robbie tho :(

Failing miserabley with Hypno's CHAOS challenge..... haven't got the energy when I get home, and just wanna play with DS til he goes to bed.... then I come here!

For some reason yesterday I was feeling really 'heavy' - just kinda weighed down with everything that I need to do, both at home and at work, but feel a bit better today, so thats good...... must must catch up with the meet thread and sort out my travel plans, and accomadation with PaP.... I'm not at work til 1400 tomorrow, so that can wait til then. Tonight is tv catch up, MSE catch up and champagne night (not because I'm posh or anything, just because its been sat in the fridge for so long, I need to drink it before it goes off...... honest:rolleyes:

    That's all for now....

U I only tend to write about money stuff ( money comes in, money goes out, money comes in, money goes out) and what OH s doing to annoy me *this* time....

That's what we all write about it and it's really fascinating to the fellow DFW-er - keep writing it!

  • Thanx Seax....

part of the problem is I spend a lot of time reading other peoples diaries and kinda forget about mine..... but I intend to keep it up now. Does feel a bit odd having my diary pop up on the front page tho, in my head I think 'the front page is for the newbies and the 'major players' neither of which I am..... its a confidence thing I guess :o

Have you and OH decided on budgets for christmas pressies? Just if he's got this new credit limit he might go out to impress!

Not really..... MIL has said that none of us are going to buy much for each other and we are all to contribute to the cost of the meal, so it's only really OH's DS1 that we have to buy for (he's 8). I have spent a total of about £100 on everyones prezzies (new baby's first xmas = lots of photos as prezzies :D ) with only OH left to buy for really. I have tried to reduce what he spends by giving him a list of what I want (total cost not more than £50) so he really only needs to think about what he's getting J.

I've been saving a bit of money each month since Aug, so I've been ok, but OH doesn't 'agree' with saving, internet shopping, cost cutting..... pretty much anything MSE really! Altho the lure of free money means he has signed up to Quidco, so I guess thats a start!

He's under no illusion that I will not be paying his CC bill (made *that* mistake in the past), so owe'll have to wait and see what happens!

  • Well spent a lovely 8 hours at work agagin today.... I hate Saturday lates, otherwise know as the Graveyard shift! Back in again in the morning!
Pleased that I passed Pap's challenge again this week, seems to be really good at keeping me on track! Just need to be more disciplined at making my lunch each night! Saves me a fortune if I do!!!

Discovered when I got home that OH has had 3 £2s out my pot:mad: defo hope I get that Terramundi now!!! Gotta check online banking to see if the loan came out today... and forgot to pay the council tax:eek: so will have to do that tomorrow - don't expect a couple of days will hurt! Also got the first change to put in my Sealed Jar - will have to sit on it for now thoough as didn't empty them out yesterday! Will do tomorrow night definately!

Emailed CC re the missing game, just waiting to find out what to do next

That's it for now, off to finish the champagne I opened yesterday (spoon in the top keep the bubbles - not sure how:confused: )

:) I also did the whole spoon in bottle with my cava (supposed to be for christmas *ahem*) but it worked well...but then I had to open another one as it seemed to have mysteriously gone down very quickly tonight ;)

  • I can only managed half a bottle at a time, after having DS, I'm such a lightweight its untrue! I did feel a bit bad about opening a £25 bottle of champagne for no reason, but I'm sure we were given it when DS was born 9 mths a go and it was just sat in the fridge - rude not to really!
