Today's reply:
"Hi,
Your request for a refund has been received. Please allow up to 14 days for a decision.
Please note our Terms and Conditions which can be found
Kind Regards
Drivinglicences.org.uk Team"
I have emailed them several times with no response at all!
They've taken £80 from me.
The trouble is it said there would be a fee of £20, nowhere did it mention anymore and after payment was complete it said 'thanks £80 received'
They are able to process the payment as fast as anything but they will not get back to me no matter how hard I try.0 -

I hope your not waiting for a reply via email ?0 -
An email is deemed to have been served when it has reached the mail server of the recipient... it doesn't have to be read, acknowledged etc.
The only reason to send these people an email is so you can prove you have done it and can then use it as best evidence when you progress your legal proceedings against them to recover any money lost and costs incurred.0 -
Just to be aware.... a company's Terms And Conditions can not be used to circumvent statute law.
What they sell ie a piece of paper (certainly with respect to a Driving Licence application) is a product, and as such it falls into the scope of the UK Distance Selling Regulations which apply to sales on the Internet. As such you are legally covered and empowered to cancel your order upto 7 days after receipt of the goods for a full and complete refund. You will have to pay for the return of the goods ie postage but these goods do not have to be returned within the 7 days, you just have to have informed the supplier that you are cancelling the order and will be returning the goods.0 -

But a company can legally state in their terms and conditions that the right of cancellation does not apply for the supply of the service once that service has begun provided that the consumer agrees to this. (the service being provided is the checking of details and transferring them to paper form).
Most, if not all of these types of companies have this disclaimer in their T&C's, and the customer agrees to it when the proceed with the order.0 -
2. Age Restrictions
No Persons under the age of 15 years and 9 months or the minimum age at which a DVLA Driving Licence application may be made should use this Website and payment Information must be provided by or with the permission of an Adult.
From Caveat Viator's Terms and Conditions..... anybody older than 16 but younger than 18 (ie an Adult) is eligible for a total refund....... contract with a minor unenforceable and unfair in the eyes of the law.0 -
FYI
The Committees of Advertising Practice (CAP) write and maintain the UK Advertising Codes, which are administered by the Advertising Standards Authority.
This is extracted from their website.
03 Misleading advertising
The ASA may take the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 into account when it adjudicates on complaints about marketing communications that are alleged to be misleading. See Appendix 1 for more information about those Regulations.
The ASA will take into account the impression created by marketing communications as well as specific claims. It will adjudicate on the basis of the likely effect on consumers, not the marketer’s intentions.
3.1 Marketing communications must not materially mislead or be likely to do so.
3.3 Marketing communications must not mislead the consumer by omitting material information. They must not mislead by hiding material information or presenting it in an unclear, unintelligible, ambiguous or untimely manner.
Material information is information that the consumer needs to make informed decisions in relation to a product. Whether the omission or presentation of material information is likely to mislead the consumer depends on the context, the medium and, if the medium of the marketing communication is constrained by time or space, the measures that the marketer takes to make that information available to the consumer by other means.
Endorsements and Testimonials
3.45 Marketers must hold documentary evidence that a testimonial or endorsement used in a marketing communication is genuine, unless it is obviously fictitious, and hold contact details for the person who, or organisation that, gives it.0 -
To complain to Visa and MasterCard about their trademarks being used to apparently validate and endorse this company resulting in consumers potentially losing confidence in their respective brands email

I was duped by this 'company' too however realised my error within seconds of clicking to authorise payment (ironically). I sent a message using the contact us tab and requesting a full refund, within 10 minutes they had emailed me to say that a full refund had been issued, please allow 48 hours for it to appear in my bank account. Fingers crossed I will receive refund, I'm guessing that if no refund appears (I have a faith that it will), I have a good case for dispute as I have email confirming that a refund would be issued.0

This still isn't a scam, it's people's own lack of research. If you can't look after your money, why expect someone else to?0
