Please stop this useless abbreviation and your though as it is.

SE =Social Enterprise.
You appear to have a lot of preconceived ideas, so why bother asking for advice? You see, normally I charge for it.
Good luck with the company/not for profit/social enterprise/that's going to get donations/that will go into your own personal bank account.......hold on :T0 -

The OP is confused/hasn't got a clue. A social enterprise company is NOT a charity. She is talking about a CIC (Community Interest Company).
That still needs more than one director and a board of trustees.
The OP was making research. Until now, what do I have learn from you ? Oh, I have to go to see a company law solicitor and that I should use a business account : but santander does not want to open this last and seems to have instructed natwest to do the same (I have applied online and the have never called back instead that was santander that call me back at natwest appointment hour).
This kind of statement : 'The OP is confused/hasn't got a clue. A social enterprise company is NOT a charity. She is talking about a CIC (Community Interest Company).' are very close to diffamations/intox since I was doing some investigation and later get the response to my question.
It seems that someone may have called both santander and natwest and told them things exactly like you are saying here and they have refused to open my business account : the only problem the have now is that they are going to have a proper complaint and request of investigation from the financial ombudsman regarding their criteria of assessment and explanation of delay.0 -

Sorry, you are accusing me of?
To clarify, if you ask on a open forum what does X or Y mean, or indeed, how do you do A or B, then it's clear you don't know what you are talking of, otherwise there would be no post on here. Secondly, most well balanced professionals look to engage the correct advisors.
Finally, in order to accuse one of something, please spell it correctly. The term you are looking for is defamation :rotfl:0 -

I think she's accusing you of getting her intoxicated :rotfl:.0 -

You haven't instructed anyone to do anything. You have applied for an account, which the bank will consider and get back to you with a yes/no answer.
It's impossible to instruct bank to do anything, without being a customer of theirs in the first place.
It is illegal to run a Ltd company through a personal bank account, so please bear this in mind. This kind of statement : 'The OP is confused/hasn't got a clue. Nobody has accused you of anything, nor defamed you.
We don't know you, and can't identify you, and therefore neither would any potential banker. It seems that someone may have called both santander and natwest and told them things exactly like you are saying here and they have refused to open my business account : the only problem the have now is that they are going to have a proper complaint and request of investigation from the financial ombudsman regarding their criteria of assessment and explanation of delay.
The banks are private companies, and no private company has to deal with a client that they do not want. I don't have to, you don't have to, Brassedoff doesn't have to.
I had a credit card company close an account last year, probably as I wasn't making them any money, but did I complain? No, I got on with my life. I've also been turned down for accounts before now, and again, I didn't complain.
Why would anyone from this site call a bank, and ask them not to open an account? I don't think that you understand how the banking system, or business works, and many decisions that banks make are automated, with no human involvement.
If you feel on the above that you would like to take action for defamation, I will happily supply contact details for your legal representatives to write to. Any good legal adviser will advise you that what myself, Brassedoff, (I think) Sue, and several others have said.

At least you know the right name of your true nature.0 -
I have a personal bank account with them...
That makes you (the individual) a customer of the bank. But your limited company is a different legal entity altogether, so they are not a customer.CKhalvashi wrote: ».....It is illegal to run a Ltd company through a personal bank account, so please bear this in mind....
Mind you. I don't think that's right. I don't believe it's an offence for anyone to act as an agent for a Ltd Co and make payments and accept receipts on its behalf.CKhalvashi wrote: »....Why would anyone from this site call a bank, and ask them not to open an account?....
And even if they did, what information could they give to the bank that would enable them to identify the person involved? The very suggestion is just ridiculous.CKhalvashi wrote: »....If you feel on the above that you would like to take action for defamation,....
I see no defamation.0 -
I have to admit that I was a bit tired these last days...with the job center registration at the same time.0
